Four days isn't enough time for Addie to have healed from the trauma of what happened, not that I ever thought it would be.

She is just quieter, more on edge and it's really taken a toll on her mental health. It kills me to watch, I've been trying to accomodate for her and be the best support I can.

The incident isn't something she's just magically going to heal from, her physical wounds have begun to heal but her emotional ones are still ripped open and bleeding.

When it begins to get dark outside I notice a shift in her behaviour, she'll shift a little closer to me, lay her hand on my thigh to silently tell me she's nervous and wants to be as close to me as she can get.

Staying with Niall and Amelia for the past few days has meant it's easier for her to be sucked into her own head because the girls aren't as reliant on her, they're having way too much fun ordering their uncle and auntie around.

When the sun begins setting, Posie will want to be near Addie. They'll speak softly to one another in Italian, sharing worries and comforting words.

Posie hasn't wanted to leave the safety of Niall's home, thankfully when her school was filled in on the situation they were happy for her to take off the rest of this year which means she'll only miss around two weeks of school due to Christmas approaching.

Capri, on the other hand, has seemed like what happened hasn't affected her which sadly was proven wrong two nights ago when we were all awoken by her screaming.

Nightmares.

Well, they're more like night terrors where she's acting like she's awake by talking and crying out for Addie and I but she's also still trapped in her nightmare.

They've only happened twice but it takes us ages to get Capri back around from them, she then has an hour of crying, shaking and hyperventilating to the point that she makes herself sick before we manage to get her back to sleep.

Due to the four of us sharing a bed it means Posie is also getting disturbed sleep. Niall said she could crash in with him and Amelia but she was reluctant to leave mine and Addie's side.

All this because of some fucker who thought it was okay to force himself into my girls house, hurt her and traumatise her and her two little girls.

They still haven't found him. He hasn't gone back for his car which was found out to actually be a stolen car so chances are he won't be returning to Addie's to get it at all.

Addie doesn't want to go home.

She is terrified of being in that house and so are the girls.

I suggested going back for the day to ease into it but Posie got herself into such a state over the idea of doing that it just wasn't fair.
