Regressed Nick.

Cussing, mentions of burns, and bruisings. They go into light detail.

Nick knew he was going to get in serious trouble if he were caught, but he couldn't stop himself. His adrenaline was pumping as he snuck behind the couch, he desperately tried to suffocate his giggles as he overheard his caregiver talking. "Well I just put him down for a nap so we can watch a movie while we wait for him to wake up?" Chris asked. Matthew shrugged, "What if he wakes up early?" "Then I'll put him back to sleep, don't worry about him. I assure you he will be okay." Chris chuckled lightly, "You worry too much dumbass." Nick made faces behind the couch toward his caregivers, they were oblivious to his sneaking around, he found it hilarious. He tucked himself between a chest of old blankets and the couch. He snuggled up over a vent to keep himself warm. "For fucks sake there is nothing on!" Chris shouted dramatically. Nick held his  giggles, "fuck!" He whispered to himself, he had been beyond proud of himself. They'd never let him cuss, but what they didn't know wouldn't hurt, besides he was only copying them, it would be their fault, Nick thought. Matt smacked Chris on the back of the head lightly enough to catch his attention, his finger shot up to his lips, shushing the other. "Be quiet..if you wake him up-" "I get it, I get it, damn." Chris smacked his hand away.

Once they found a movie, a comedy movie to be exact. They settled down, no longer talking, it gave Nick nothing to keep himself occupied with. He loved hearing their voices, but now that he couldn't hear them over the TV it was upsetting him, he was bored. He tried sitting up, thinking about asking to join them on the couch, but as he tried to sit up he found it extremely difficult. He was stuck, his waist had been caught uncomfortably between the chest and couch, giving him little to no room to move. In a state of panic he began jerking himself around to get free, but nothing worked. "Nu! DADDY!!" He cried out, desperately kicking at the couch to get their attention. The amount of pressure the objects were pushing on him were painful.

"Did you hear that?" Matt asked concerned, he went to stand up, but Chris pulled him back down. "You are just being paranoid." Chris chuckled, "sit back down, I promise he is okay." Matthew nodded, "yeah I probably am just paranoid, I'm sorry." He smiled. If only they did know what was really happening.

Nick felt his heart drop, he slowly became overly sensitive. He couldn't tell if the TV was actually getting louder or if it was just him, but it sounded like it was increasing in volume, making his head pound. His sides itched in pain as the corners pinched him, tears rolled down his face as he continued to call for his caregivers to help. He was sure it would leave a bruise. As he was held down, his stomach was pressed up against the vent, causing the heat to burn his skin. This time his screams became louder.

Matthew cuddled into Chris's side, carefully listening out for any weird noises. Chris was right, maybe he was just paranoid, but he couldn't help himself. His gut was telling him something terrible was happening. As he laid his head on Chris's shoulder he felt a sharp kick in his back. "What the hell?" He sat up immediately, pushing himself off of Chris and onto his feet. "What is it?" Chris asked worriedly, he paused the TV and grabbed Matt, pulling him closer. "What happened? Are you okay?" He asked, desperately trying to check on his brother. "Something is-" Matt pointed to the couch and as if right on cue they finally heard the breathless cry for help, "DADA ELP!"

Springing into action they both darted around the couch and spotted the crying little stuffed in an uncomfortable position. Nick had his face held down, refusing to look at his caregivers as he cried. Matthew began crying himself, "BABY? Baby, fuck, look at me. Nicky, please." He sobbed, as he tried investigating the best way to remove him. "Where does it hurt? How did you get stuck?" Chris asked as he tried approaching to help. "Nu hur SIDES!" Nick sobbed louder. Matthew gripped the side of the box, "Chris fucking help! Grab the other side!" He ordered as he pushed it the best he could. Chris grabbed the edge, pulling it as Matt pushed. "C'mon it's rubbing against his skin more!" Chris shouted in a hurry. "It's the only fucking way!" Matt yelled back. They bickered until they finally got it out from digging into Nick's skin. However once he was free it turned into a bigger problem than they had originally thought.

Nick threw himself back, feeling slightly relieved, but the burn that was caused on his stomach sent him into a crying fit again. "What's wrong?" They asked, Nick clutched his shirt, pulling it away from his skin. "Ah!" He groaned. Matthew tried to lift up his shirt, but his hand was smacked away, "let me take a look at it!" He pleaded, tears still in his eyes. "Is bad!" Nick cried out. "I know baby, I know, but let me see it." Matt tried comforting him.

Matt and Chris rubbed his sides and back until Nick lifted his shirt off. Taking one look they backed up and gasped, not knowing what to do. It was obvious that how long Nick had been forced to lay on top of the faulty vent damaged his skin. Nick looked down at his revealed stomach and gagged. They were definitely going to have to go to the emergency room tonight.

"Get the diaper bag!" Matthew told Chris as he walked to the key holsters. "I said go get the fucking diaper bag!" He shouted once more, finally getting the other to listen. Nick backed away into the corner, holding himself. "Calm down Matt! You are gonna scare him!" Chris argued as he went to get the diaper bag. "You think I'm not scared? I don't know what to do? I don't want it to scar him! He is gonna not trust us, fuck!" Matt cried out. "Matty I'm sorry-" Chris whispered. "Just go get the stuff- we need to go." Matt sighed. He grabbed their shoes and laid them out, quickly sliding his one and attempting to get Nick's on. "Please Nick." He begged, Nick took a step forward and let Matt help him. His sobbing never stopped as the pain on his body still lingered. His shirt was still off and Matt couldn't look away from his poor baby. His sides were covered in bruises while his stomach showed burn marks appearing, thin lines of almost brown skin peeling. They needed to get going soon.
