Regressed Chris.

It was a late night rush to the hospital after hearing one of their dear friends had an accident. Nick and Matt needed to get everything under control to go check on them, but they had stuff to figure out before anything.

They quickly woke Chris up from his nap and tried to get him dressed without upsetting him too much, knowing how he usually was grumpy when woken from his naps.

Normally they would let him sleep until he woke up himself, but they had no one else to watch him so he needed to go with them. Also speaking that they were his friend too they knew he needed to go along with them.

Chris fumbled his blanket in his hands as he desperately tried kicking the other two away, "lemme sleep!" He cried out as his eyes itched at the burning light above him, "light off!" He yelled, almost smacking Nick in the face.

Nick and Matt pulled away, walking out to the hallway, "it's just a hospital... he can wear his pajamas and if he gets embarrassed it's his own problem." Nick said. Matthew only nodded, "Well I'll go find keys and get his car seat ready, just pick him up and buckle him in." Matthew said walking away, "Oh! And don't forget a blanket. It's going to be cold!" He sighed.

Nick reentered Chris' room, he slid some socks and shoes into the diaper bag and slung it over his shoulder before scooping Chris into his arms which was surprisingly easy.

He huffed at the new adjustment, letting Chris get comfortable in his hold. Thankfully Chris was already wrapped up in his blanket so it helped with that issue, saving time.

At the door he tried his best at sliding his shoes on, almost falling over in the process, but kept himself steady for the most part. Matthew came back inside, curious as to why his brothers were taking their time, quickly understanding the issue and opening the door for them.

Getting Chris into his car seat was easy. He sat in the back while Nick and Matt sat upfront, for Nick it was an odd feeling being in the front seat, but since this new arrangement started weeks ago, the feeling was wearing off. He glanced in the back watching Matt finish up buckling the smaller boy in, watching as Chris snuggled up into his blanket with a pacifier in his mouth seemed to calm his nerves about the late night drive.

Once they were ready to pull out of the driveway, Matt reached over and cupped his and Nick's hand together, "it's going to be alright." He smiled as he rubbed his older brother's palm.

They knew this night had just got started.
