SABRINA'S POV

"I'm leaving, you know your way around the city!"

I heard Jerkilace's voice from the porch as I hurried downstairs, stuffing my essentials into the White Louis Vuitton purse I chose for the day. With an agitated look, I rushed to his car immediately because he was just about to reverse. His impatience and his rude attitude is so hard to deal with. I'm this close to chopping his ears off.

We are going to The Mubaid's mansion to visit the family after our marriage. I've been to the mansion tons of times but this particular visit is somewhat flustering. It's the first time I'm stepping in there as a married woman. It even sounds so weird saying that.. Let's see how things turn out.

"You probably missed home huh?"

"I barely live there." He cut off bluntly with a pinch of arrogance.

"Still. You must have missed your siblings and your parents." Any normal person would miss home after being away for a while. Now that he's married ,it's not even his home anyways. I, on the other hand do not really miss home. You know why? Because the place is empty. My parents and the only brother that actually sees my existence are never around. I spend my casual time in my room or with the workers. If anything, I miss the maids, gardeners, cooks and the gateman, Malam Tanko. Weird right? That's just me.

"No, I didn't." He drove inside the mansion and pulled over. Unbelievable! It's confirmed, he really is an alienated person. How can one not miss the presence of his own family members? I have an excuse for not missing home but at least I miss their presence—my sisters inclusive. But his family members are so nice and energetic and always around.

"Yes, you did. That's not even possible." I scoffed unbuckling my seatbelt.

"Believe what you want to believe." He replied moseying out of the car without waiting to hear my reponse. Resisting the urge to hiss out loud, I followed him inside the house.

"Sabrina!"Arianna crushed my bones with a tight hug. I hugged her back immediately I caught up to my breath.

"Bro, you saw me yesterday." I chuckled unbuckling my sandals.

"Still!" She emphasized displaying her hands in the air. I chortled a bit before moving to the main living room to greet Amma and Abi.

"Ughhh! Why is he here? Just when I thought we got rid of you!"

"Hello to you too sister." He sent daggers her way before strutting away.

"Amma, Abi good afternoon." I greeted them both as I sat on the most comfortable carpet in the world. I have an addiction for soft carpets, that's probably why I barely sit on sofas.

"Afternoon my dear how are you doing?" They chorused.

"I'm all good."

"I hope this grump has been treating you well?" Abi's eyes averted to Jerkilace who was sat on the sofa with his legs crossed. He greeted them both after I was done conversing with them.

"Well the both of us are alive aren't we?" I let out a mirthless laugh sparing him a look. He stared blankly at me before turning his attention back to the television.

"Alhamdullilah at least." Amma stretched her lips into a smile. I shifted away from Jerkilace. His feet were close to were I was.
