SABRINA'S POV
ABUJA, NIGERIA.

It's been three weeks since Kubra's wedding and four weeks since Saif passed away. Everyone was slowly moving on and returning back to their daily lives. We all accepted fate and learnt to live with it.

After the dinner the other day, I got a long lecture from Amma and Abi but half of what they said went through one ear and left through another one.

"Add more sugar, Aliza." Daddy instructed Aliza as he removed his spectacles placing it aside. Hiba took that as her cue to grab it.

She put his glasses on and placed a hand on her waist, then she began to wiggle it. "Mommy, see. I look like grandpa now."

Daddy and I burst out laughing at the little girl. Aliza hissed and tried getting a hold of her when she immediately jumped. "Give it back, Hiba."

"Mommy is boring." Hiba stuck her tongue out and continued wiggling her waist. Aliza threw her a glare then stood up to grab her but once again she ran away.

Aliza let out a sigh of frustration then but her lip harshly. "I'll go get her." With that, she ran upstairs to catch the lousy little girl.

Ya Aliza and I decided to pay our parents a visit at home seeing it's been long since we all met. Surprisingly, Daddy was free that day. But as usual, Mrs Mahir was in London for a business meeting and wasn't planning on returning anytime soon.

Aliya on the other hand, had to go to the hospital for her weekly medical checkup. Her bump was now visible and she was starting to resemble the frog face she is. Her skin had started turning darker in color and her cravings are just on another level.

Remind me never to get pregnant.

Oh, you needn't remind me. It's just never going to happen. It's not even possible. Not in the slightest bit. I can't remember the last time I saw Farooq. Since after the dinner party, I haven't laid eyes on him. I couldn't be more glad.

It was already after Isha and it was getting late so we bid our father farewell as I drove us off. After I dropped Ya Aliza and Hiba at their residence. I decided to clear my head a bit so I took a long drive around town.

I sang the one song I love listening to when I'm deep in my feelings.

When you don't know where to go
When you're feeling all alone
Look inside yourself
There's so much more than you know

When you're stuck and out of time
You can cross the finish line
You're a champion you'll always be a winner

You can be anything you want
If you believe in who you are
You′ll light up the whole world
You're shining so bright

Anything is possible
When you look into your heart
Oh, oh, oh, oh
You′re a shooting star

When I'm down and feeling scared
I know I should take a chance
The world is sitting right here
In the palm of my hands

I′m flying higher than before
And giving up is not a choice
I'll push the doubt aside
And step into the spotlight

I stopped singing immediately I pulled over at our driveway. I let out a deep sigh before placing my head on the steering wheel as I ran a hand through my head. I fixed my veil as I stepped out of the car.

"Mrs Khaleed, welcome back." Garba greeted ducking his head down but I didn't miss the sight if his yellow teeth even at night.

I waved him off with my hands. "You know how to drive?"
