Charlie's POV

I sat at my computer after work, getting ready to start my favorite game. Obviously before I opened the game, I went back into the kitchen to grab a couple of different chips, some energy drinks, donuts, coffee, and candy. When I get back to my computer, I spread out everything in arms reach. I nodded my head, feeling completely contempt with the set up I got for myself. I then proceeded to sit back down and start playing the game. The moment I get on, I look at how many people are playing, and how many people I recognize. After playing for a good 2 hours before bed, I sighed as I placed the controller down and stretched my body. I pulled myself out of the chair I sat on and got ready for bed. Once I finished getting everything set for bed, I turned off the lights and slowly removed my jacket and slept.

~The next morning..~

When I woke up, I yawned as I turned off my alarm clock then got up from my bed. I stared at the floor for a good minute before I begrudgingly grabbed my clothes for the day, and head to work. As I walked my way to work, I was met up with Pim. "Good morning Charlie!", Pim perks up. I shrug and decided to make small talk. "Good morning Pim. So how was last night? Get a good night rest?", I asked. Pim laughed. "Oh, I did! Though I thought I told you I was going on a date last night?", Pim said confused. I opened the door to our workplace before I responded, "Must've slipped my mind. Well, how was it?"

Pim's face shone brightly, "Well I'm glad you asked! The night was fantastic! I took them to a nice restaurant, we talked about our interests and favorite things!" I grabbed a cup and poured some coffee into it, then sipped it. "That's good, you think it's going to work out between you two?", I asked. Pim nodded, "Yeah! I think so. They were sweet and nice, genuinely took an interest in me as well!" I hummed as I took another sip from my coffee. "What about you, Charlie? How have you and Y/N been doing? How long have you two been dating again? A couple of weeks?", Pim said skipping into the office.

I shrugged and pulled out my phone from my pocket, "I dunno a couple of weeks or days? I didn't keep track." Pim sighed and shook his head, "Maybe you should start doing that. It's better to do it, you can remember your anniversary and surprise them!" I rolled my eyes as I scrolled through my social media, "yeah, if we even get that far." The moment I say that, The Boss came waltzing our way. "Hey you two! Just letting you guys know you don't have work tomorrow!", The Boss said chuckling. Pim's eyes widened, "Oh? What's the occasion, The Boss?" He waited eagerly for a response. The Boss giggled and said, "Having some renovations done in the building, not a lot but it'll be noisy and too much for me to deal with!! So I'll see you guys in a couple of days, I'll call you in!"

Pim and I shrugged and continued our day, working for this strange company. While we were finishing up our last job for the day, Pim and I walked back to the office. Walking closer to the main entrance, we both see two figures. "Pim isn't that your partner?", I pointed out. Pim rolled his eyes at me and chuckled, "Are you okay Charlie? That can't be them!" I groaned and facepalmed, "Pim you should really get some glasses soon, you are clearly too blind." Pim looked at me with an offended look. "I'm not that bad with my eyes! I promise! Watch, when we get closer and see that it wasn't my partner, it'll prove I don't need it!", Pim protested.  I rolled my eyes and shrugged, "Sure Pim, sure."
