NANCY RAN DOWN the side of some train tracks, walking over one set and then another, crossing over the stony tracks. a bag was clutched in her hand tightly as she headed towards an old, broken and rusty carriage of a train. she crouched by the space where the wheel should have been and tucked a box and half and loaf of bread behind the metal.

she stood and turned, seeing the doctor smiling at her through the window of the broken carriage, callisto at his side, her expression blank, "how'd you two follow me here?"

"i'm good at following, me. got the nose for it." the doctor replied.

"people can't usually follow me if i don't want them to." nancy said, eyeing them warily.

"my nose has special powers." the doctor said.

"yeah, is that why it's...?" nancy trailed off, smiling to herself.

"what?" the doctor asked.

"nothing." she said, sharing a smirk with callisto.

"what?" the doctor repeated.

"nothing!" nancy exclaimed, grinning. "d'your ears have special powers, too."

"what a'ya trying to say?" the doctor demanded.

"first, that you've got a big konk." callisto spoke up and he stared at her in offence, whether it was jokingly, she wasn't sure. "not a bad thing, by the way."

"goodnight, mister. goodnight, miss." nancy smiled.

"nancy, there's something chasing you and the other kids. looks like a boy and it isn't a boy and it started about a month ago, right?" the doctor questioned, his tone now serious. nancy turned to him, eyebrows furrowing. "the thing we're looking for, the thing that fell from the sky, that's where it landed. and you know what i'm talking about, don't you?"

"a bomb... a bomb that wasn't a bomb." nancy said. "fell the other end of limehouse green station."

"take us there." the doctor ordered.

nancy shook her head, "nah. there's soldiers guarding it, barb wire. you're never getting through."

"try us!" the doctor exclaimed.

"you sure you wanna know what's going on in there?" nancy quizzed.

"we really want to know." callisto nodded.

"then there's someone you need to talk to first." nancy said.

"and who might that be?" the doctor asked.

"the doctor." nancy said and his eyebrows furrowed before she walked away from them.

"let's find this mysterious doctor, then." callisto sighed, grabbing the doctor's hand and pulling him away from the broken carriage to follow nancy. "she could've given a name. unless she doesn't know his name. sounds like another mysterious doctor i know of."
