NOW THAT THEY knew what the daleks had altered on the building, callisto and martha were trying to figure out what they needed to do. however, the ding of the lift interrupted their thoughts. the doors slid open to reveal the doctor and laszlo, the latter looking out of breath and slow while the doctor had a hand on his shoulder in a show of concern.

"doctor!" martha exclaimed.

"first floor perfumery!" the doctor joked in a higher voice and callisto smiled slightly.

"i never thought i'd see you again!" tallulah cried out happily, she and laszlo flinging themselves at one another in love.

"no stopping me." laszlo breathed and callisto's eyebrows furrowed at the far away look behind his eyes while he held tallulah tightly.

callisto grabbed the doctor's hand when he walked up to the blueprints beside her, "you okay, love? they didn't do anything?"

"course i'm fine." the doctor smiled, pulling her closer to him, kissing her softly, large hands holding her cheeks gently.

"good." callisto smiled, kissing him swiftly once more before gesturing to the blueprints. "we found what the daleks changed."

"there's dalekainium on the mast, and it's good to see you too, by the way." martha joked to the doctor.

"oh, come here!" the doctor grinned, wrapping the human in a hug, spinning her around. the lift dinged again as it started to shut and the doctor rushed out of the hug with martha to stop it with his sonic screwdriver by the buttons on the wall. "see, never waste time with a hug! deadlock seal, i can't stop it!"

"well, where's it going?" martha demanded.

"back down to the daleks, and they aren't gonna leave us alone up here. what's the time?" the doctor asked.

"uh, 11:15." frank answered, looking to a clock propped up on a table.

"six minutes to go. i've gotta remove the dalekainium before the gamma radiation hits." the doctor explained.

"gammon radiation? what the heck is that?" tallulah demanded.

the doctor rushed for the open wall of the floor, hands holding onto the scaffolding when he reached the edge, martha and callisto close to him, tallulah dragging laszlo along. eyeing the city below, the doctor huffed a short breath in surprise.

"oh, that's high. that's very— blimey, that's high!" the doctor muttered.

"and we've gotta go even higher." martha grimaced, holding onto a nearby rope.

"you get to the mast by this." callisto explained, gesturing to the ladder beside her and the doctor stood at the bottom to look up at the mast. "there's three pieces of that ridiculously, lazily named metal on the mast, we've just got to get them off."
