THE GROUP HAD taken margaret back to the t.a.r.d.i.s. the slitheen was looking around the large ship in astonishment, wondering how such a thing could exist. they were fixing the control panel of the ship, prepared to take margaret back.

"this ship is impossible." margaret said. "oh, it's superb. how d'you get the outside around the inside."

"like i'd give you the secret, yeah." the doctor remarked.

"i almost feel better about being defeated. i never stood a chance. this is the technology of the gods." margaret swooned, looking over the control panel.

"don't worship me, i'd make a very bad god. you wouldn't get a day off, for starters." the doctor mused. "jack, how we doing, big fella?"

"this extrapolator's top of the range." jack replied. "where do you get it?"

"oh, i don't know. some airlock sale?" margaret shrugged.

"must of been a great, big heist. it's stacked with power." jack said.

"but we can use if for fuel." the doctor prompted.

"it's not compatible, but it should knock off about 12 hours." jack nodded. "we'll be ready to go by morning."

"then we're stuck here. overnight." the doctor muttered.

"i'm in no hurry." margaret stated.

"we've got a prisoner. the police box is really a police box." rose smiled.

"you're not just police, though." margaret grinned. "since you're taking me to my death, that makes you my executioner. each an every one of you."

"well, you deserve it." mickey spoke up.

margaret looked at him, "you're very quick to say so. you're very quick to soak your hands in blood, which makes you better than me, how exactly?" mickey didn't reply. "long night ahead." she sat down in the doctor's seat, crossing one leg over her other knee, making slightly glaring eye contact with the doctor. "let's see who can look me in the eye."

she looked at mickey who stared at her before averting his gaze after a moment. she shifted her eyes to rose, who looked away almost instantly. the doctor only spared her a glance before margaret turned to callisto. the now green woman stared back at margaret, unblinking. the pair broke eye contact at the same time: apparently callisto was the least bothered by taking someone to their death.

the doctor looked across at callisto who was now staring at the t.a.r.d.i.s console. her expression hadn't changed once when margaret threatened that they'd have blood on their hands if they took her back to her home planet. he wondered for a second if she'd been in a situation like this before. a situation where she wasn't afraid to put someone to their death.

no, the doctor thought, she said zen-whoberi was a peaceful place. she's just good at covering emotions. but why?

moments passed by, mickey and rose stepping outside of the t.a.r.d.i.s. margaret had moved, sitting outside the main area in the control room. callisto was seated in the doctor's chair, waiting for the next thing. 750+ years could have a lot of dull moments where nothing moves around you. you stay put, itching for something to happen. but, as she watched the doctor stand by the console, callisto didn't mind if time seemed to pass by slower than normal.
