Side Chapter 5 cleansing corrupted beasts

Today is my day of I am going to look for some alacryan dungeons. With other words I intend to blow some steam of and use my two swords for it. It still feels refreshing swinging my swords, just like it is meant to be like this. Searching for the next SS-rank dungeon I dive in. At first there were normal A, AA and S-rank monsters. None of them stood a chance. Letting my swords vibrate at a high frequency neither a exoskeleton nor any other natural armour stands a chance. Slicing beast after beast and collecting their cores with one or two beast wills I walk further. It seems that I was mistaken because I am in front of a massive metal door and there were no mutants. Anyway let's do this. Coding my fist with some aether I hit the door and sent it flying.

Behind the door I see beautiful figures, well not really but they should become useful. In this jungle like dungeon are two Elderwood guardian and even a forest queen. The second most powerful plant type monster. It is only topped by the empress. And this one is more of a myth than anything else. I guess that the forest empress was an asura that wanted to intimidate some lessers. Anyway it is my lucky day. There is a non-zero possibility that I will get a Elderwood guardian beast will. Or even a forest queen but the problem is that she is no water conjurer of course changing that would be possible but still not worth it. I guess the Elderwood guardian is a better fit for her, she might even learn to conjure vines with poisonous thorns like the Elderwood guardian. Anyway it is time to get rid of the pest plants.

Summoning my black lightning in one hand and my white flames in the other hand I stopped. No I will try something new. Trying giving the ice spell a new form. I summon hungry tendrils that circle around my hand. So cold that the temperature started to drop significant. I pointed my finger towards one Elderwood guardian and shot the spell. It circulated in the air, lunging at anything that is not just one molecule freezing it in place and shattering it immediately. When the spell hit the plant monster it curled around and inside of the beast. It clung to it and ripped it apart. Slowly but surely the Elderwood guardian started to fall down piece by piece. Every last cell is frozen up, expanded and broke due to the expansion of ice towards water. It worked. Now my other try. Creating a black flame in my hand I poured more and more and even more mana in the flame until it seemed like light was getting absorbed by the flame instead of emitting it. Not wanting to hold it any longer a shot it toward the second guardian. It connected but didn't seem to do much until it just dropped. I looked at the scene confused thinking the monster was playing dead but it didn't move a bit after I fired a black lightning toward it. What happened? I will think later about it. Not wanting to take any more risks I activated realm heart and used my gravity magic to amplify it tenfold. The speciality of the queen is high speed movement. She seemed surprised since she hadn't made any preparation. Maybe she thought that her guardians were just weak. That will be her downfall. Using burst step I arrived next to her with my mana core as more than half empty, the problem is that those new spells are very powerful but also very mana costly. One reaps the life-force as fast as possible and the other freezes everything organic. Black lightning craceled around my vibrating swords while I struck at the beast. It evaded a deadly blow but one of her wings was hit. Her mobility is restricted and I used this. The queen figured that she couldn't flee so fighting was the only chance. Flowers bloomed and poisonous pollen was set free. Vines came from everywhere and wind with sound spell shot towards. I knew that I needed to act fast if I want to only use mana. Letting everything come closer to me I activated burst step once more. Rushing to the beast I swung but before it connected I was tossed away. Dammit she anticipated it. No matter this is enough! I activated realm heart and summoned my aether swords. I walked towards her while healing my broken bones. Standing in front of her I admitted that she was a powerful opponent and that Nico and Cecil might have struggled since they are not ready for it. Not wasting more time I thrust my blade in her neck separating the head from the rest of the body. Deactivating the static void I slummed down. There were no alacryans only monsters. I collected the cores and sat down. One Elderwood guardian has a will. I guess the one that was hit by my darkest flame had its live extinguished and was unable to produce a will. Now again did it die because the life-force was drained so rapidly that the body just gave up? But that whole ordeal brought a new idea to me. What if I use a rock levitate it and use gravity all around it to create something like a singularity? Let's try it out. I used it and it worked somehow. It didn't suck in everything but it diverted the gravity around it very strong. If dropped on a group of 100 mages it would kill all of them but not in a nice way. It could even kill a S-class mana beast in one go but it uses much mana. No yellow core mage could use it and silver cores could only use it if they have exceptional control over gravity.
