Chapter 37 Demolishing the enemy

Curtis Pov:

"We did it. We defeated the enemy forces. Ha if Arthur brings the lances then they will be perplexed that everything is taken care of before they could even do anything."

"Brother observe the situation and then pump your fist into the air."

"Huh why?"

"This Draneeve, Kai, Clive and Lucas were not with the attackers. I guess the real attack has yet to start. Is my assumption correct Nico?"

"You are correct. The real attack has yet to start. Before that happens we need to gather allies. We might have taken down some of their men but we are still to few people. Claire Cecilia you two will go and get some professors. Get professor Glory as fast as possible, she is one of the strongest and charismatic teachers that are here."

"Why do we need charismatic people?" Doradrea asks

"Would you follow a king if he can't stand before his citizens with dignity? I don't think so. And it is the same in a battlefield. If your leader is some student that shouts out commands you wont follow them but if a respected teacher does the same, says even the exact same everybody acts."

"So you want to use her as a leader or at least as the leader figure?"

"Yes Kathlyn. We will also be there in some motivational way but do not expect too much."

""Yes sir"" we all said and I could see Nico pinch his nose in irritation. Cecilia then came to his side and gave him a hug with a look full of pity. If he is such a genius the two brothers will have to get used to this after all they will be a strategic weapon and the strategist at the same time.

Claire and Cecilia went of to get professor Glory and I along Feyrith, Doradrea and Theodore went to get some students that we trust. Nico said that Kathlyn should stay with him because since Tessia wasn't here she could be the next target. Not because she was an elf or a dwarf but because she was a princess. My blood boiled at the thought but Nico reassured me that he will guard her. He also said that he has not gone all out in quite some time which confused me since in our training sessions he always beat me and the others. He might have held back but he said it in a way as if he was not even close to fighting serious with us. Just how powerful are they really?

Cecilia Pov:

Claire and I are currently on our way to professor Glory. She must have heard of the incident at the tri-union-hall. But I don't know how she will react when seeing me alive. Since Nico and I have been laying low and not been attending classes or doing anything in general she has never seen us since then. We are getting closer and knock on her door.

"Come in" a clearly tired voice answered. We entered and saw a shocking sight. There was the proud professor. Instead of standing strong like the days before she sat on the couch. And there were bottles all over the room. What the hell happened here? Did she have a party? I haven't heard of anything like that.

"Professor what is all of this?" I just had to ask. No I just wanted to hear something else then what I expected. This look of emptiness and hopelessness couplet with self destructive thought could end her sooner rather then later.

"I haven't felt good in the past few days so I just needed a little distraction."

"Professor we need you right now. The radical group is attacking Xyrus. Students will die if you don't help us" Claire protested in anger.

"I can't help you. With me there will be only more deaths."

"Why tough? You never lost any students did you? After all I am standing right in front of you aren't I?" She looked at Cecilia and her eyes widened and watered.
