Chapter 31

The heavy eyelids opened slowly to the light that blazed her awake through the glass windows. As her mind cleared sleepiness, she felt the solid hands that wrapped around her. Alisa lifted her gaze to see the sleeping man's face.

He's breathtakingly beautiful.

She kissed his chin and jumped in surprise when he opened his eyes to her small touch.

"...good morning, Mikhael.."

He didn't respond but instead closed his eyes and went back to sleep but the hands that wrapped around her naked body still did the same. Alisa blinked at the ceilings in silence for a while before getting a shiver from a sudden grope on her breast.

Wasn't he asleep? Alisa tried to see if he was awake holding the hand that palmed her chest.

"Just a little bit."

The sleeping man opened his mouth, scrolling his body down, and buried his face into her breasts.

"...!"

Alisa covered her mouth when he gobbled them full into his mouth.

"What are you doing…"

"Wife."

Alisa made eye contact with the man who looked up to her as his face located at her chests. She caressed his hair.

"Yes."

"I want to love you."

Her heart missed a beat. What did he just say? She wanted to be happy but her gut feeling said otherwise. Rowena is still here as she wasn't sure of which way of loving he meant. She made up her mind and spoke out.

"Mikhael, I'm not a generous woman… I won't share you with anyone. All of this… I'm putting up with it because you haven't seen me as a woman yet. If you love me, I won't be generous anymore. I'll have to ask you to give up on the princess… and be mine alone.."

But would you give up on her.. as you were so tangled up with her.

"I know."

He kissed the back of her hand. Alisa couldn't help but blushed.

"I'll throw a tantrum if you let someone else flirt with you.. I'll get mad if you pay attention to other women.."

"Okay."

As her heart started to flutter, she remembered that he didn't like it when she tried to do something she wasn't supposed to.

"I'll be upset if you don't give me your time.. I'll cross the line like that day again, too."

"But… will you give up on her?"

Alisa felt her heart jump at his claim. That means… Rowena would have to end the contract relationship with Mikhael.

"But I'm still worried about her. That man treats her badly. I can't help but think about it."

"I want to make sure Rowena won't be treated badly by anyone anymore. If I leave her too, she has nobody."

Mikhael didn't respond, he kept his face buried in her shoulder. Alisa knew it too well.

"Will you care about me like this when you love me?"

The man finally lifted himself up. He patted her head lightly and replied.

"I always care about you but showing it will give you false hopes as I couldn't be the one for you. You'll get hurt. I didn't want that. If I couldn't love you back, I didn't want to hurt you by making you feel like you have the chance."

As she listened to him talking all serious, the elegant lady suddenly burst out laughing. Mikhael looked at her in silence.

"Mikhael, you start to talk more now. You didn't even look my way the first time we met and you barely said anything to me even at our first night."

"You were so cold to me."

Her smile dropped a little but still she looked glad.

"I'm sorry."

"But I hopelessly want you to behave like that.. because that means.. when I become the woman you love.. I won't have to worry about you treating other women the same way you treat me.. I'm so crazy."

She screamed a little at the end of her words as her slender hands covered her face. Even Mikhael couldn't help but chuckle.

Like he said, she would always find something positive about the most negative thing ever.

"Don't laugh!"

She hit his forearm in embarrassment. Even her body flushed red. She shouldn't have said that out loud. Now she had him laughing at her silliness too.

Mikhael leaned over and kissed her forehead.

"You're adorable."

"Don't give me a compliment after laughing at me.. it's all because of you.."

"I'm sorry. I won't laugh anymore."

When he stopped laughing, the woman became even more embarrassed. She kept hitting his arm as she hid her red like a tomato face from him. Mikhael dropped his solid body down next to her and pulled her head into his chest.

"Let's sleep a little more. I may forget what you said after I wake up."

Alisa bit his chest when the man kept on making fun of her while he stroked her hair.
