Buzzzzzzzzzz.

I jumped at the sound of the intercom. Jessie was early, as I should've expected. She was always early. I buzzed her up the driveway and grabbed my bag while taking one last look in the mirror. I had on one of my favorite dresses. It was an indigo blue with a hint of shine in the fabric. Thin black trim with small metal rings striped down the length of the dress. The neckline plunged deep towards my waist with a few crossed pieces of the same black trim in the center, but still revealing some cleavage. The a-line skirt hit me just above the knee where my legs were covered in fishnets. My short black hair was styled as usual. My long bangs swept to the right revealing the shorter length on the sides. The top teased slightly into a messy undone Mohawk of sorts. I couldn't stand long hair on myself, it was too much maintenance. My makeup was subtle with a smokey eye and pomegranate colored gloss. Satisfied with my get up I headed out to meet Jessie in the driveway.

I hopped into the passenger seat of Jessie's beat up silver Toyota Corolla. "Hey! Thanks for picking me up Jess," I greeted.

"Well look at you hot stuff! I didn't know I was chauffeuring all three of you," she joked while motioning towards my cleavage.

"So who else is meeting us at the Burnt Dachshund?," I asked.

"Liv, are you serious? How the hell did you get burnt dachshund? It's the Blind Dragon!," she enunciated. "And Becca, Claire, and Rhiannon will meet us there. Stacy and Mark might come too after they're finished with sushi," she added, not even believing the last part herself.

"Well I hope the Blurry Dolphin is ready for all of us," I said in a dry tone. Jess looked over at me like she was going to hit me and I burst out laughing. I took any opportunity to to be a smart ass.

"Did you think I was serious?," I asked rhetorically as she gave me a glare and turned her attention back to the road.

A short while later we arrived in West Hollywood and found a parking spot on the street half a block from the bar. Jessie knew if we tried to valet her car, or even if we were spotted getting out of it, we would never be let inside by the bouncer.

Becca, Rhiannon, and Claire were already waiting out front when we walked up. We greeted each other with hugs and smiles and made our way to the entrance. We easily walked in and I even got carded. I was flattered to pass for a minor, even though the bouncer probably has to check ID for everyone. As we passed through the doors to the inside it was like entering another place in time.

The room was dim, but the ceiling was adored with hundreds of lights. The couches were crimson red and tufted. Rich wood accents were present throughout the lounge. Private tables were spread about and the karaoke stage was perched between a circular tube of sorts. It was serious upscale West Hollywood shit.

The girls and I made our way to a table just to the left of the stage. I really did like karaoke. Not just the singing, but I also loved people watching. There were always characters at karaoke. I wanted to be close enough to get a good view. But first, it was time for a drink.

I walked up to the bar and joined the crowd awaiting drinks. "What can I get for you?," the bartender asked much quicker than I thought. I guess my outfit grabbed his attention. Looking good Olivia, I thought to myself.

"Two whiskey sours please," I said motioning towards the rest of the girls at are table so he wouldn't think I was double fisting the booze.

"Coming right up m'am," he answered.

Shit, that's what I get for thinking I was hot stuff. I just got called m'am. He handed over the drinks and I debated not tipping him, but that didn't seem like a good idea considering I planned on needing a lot more alcohol tonight.
