"I'm so sorry about your dress babe, I really am," Harry apologized again as he dropped me off at the Beverly Center to shop for a new outfit.

"It's fine baby. I'll find something else. Go enjoy your lunch," I said as I hopped out of the car.

He was genuinely sorry about my dress, but I knew he wouldn't take back a minute of what had caused it to become torn and covered in an array of colors from the sketches and colored pencils on my desk. I was now on a mission to find a new outfit in a short amount of time, well in however long Harry and Xander were at lunch.

I decided to look for a top that would pair well with the eyelet skirt I had tried on earlier. I hit a couple of the stores at the mall without any luck. I was just about to head to another store when something caught my eye.

It was another short white dress, but this one was much more modest that the one Harry had destroyed. The whole dress was overlaid with white lace that hung longer than the lining. The boat neck top was cinched at the true waist and the skirt fell just past the middle of my thigh. It had tiny lace cap sleeves that were unlined, just like the hem. It read innocence all over, but the back scooped low, making it far from demure. I took it into the dressing room and when I slipped it on it was perfect. I had just finished at the check out when Harry texted me that he was just leaving his lunch with Xander.

On my way back. Did you find anything?

I did! I found a dress. Promise not to ruin this one?

I make no promises, but I will at least make sure you get to wear it to the party first. ;)

He managed to keep his hands off me and my dress as we got ready back at his house. Despite our earlier set backs, we were still leaving early enough to get to the party on time. The Fourth of July party was being held at Nobu out in Malibu. I had lived in LA for over a decade and I had never ventured into Malibu. This fact stunned Harry even more than the fact that I had never been to Central Park.

"So you've never been to the pier or Solstice Canyon either?," Harry asked in shock as we drove down the pacific coast highway on our way to the party.

"No, I've never set foot in Malibu Harry," I explained again, but the idea just seemed so foreign to him.

"Shoot. If I had known that I would've planned our date in Malibu," Harry said.

"You've planned it already?," I asked surprised.

"Just had my assistant make reservations," Harry said intentionally being coy.

"Do I get to know where you're taking me?"

"Nope. I'm building the suspense," he was getting far too much enjoyment out this.

"When did you want to have our date?," I asked.

"I made reservations for Tuesday, so there are less paparazzi out. Just because we don't care if we're photographed together doesn't mean we need to get mobbed." I nodded in agreement and resigned to the fact that he probably wasn't going to tell me anymore.

We arrived at Nobu and passed the car off to the valet. The party was packed and we found ourselves standing elbow to elbow with other guests. It was full of celebrities from A-list to D-list. Thankfully, with a crowd like that Harry was left fairly unbothered. There were a few sneaky cellphone pictures, but I saw no one approach him for a picture or autograph.

We found Xander and bellied up to the bar to order some drinks. I tagged along as Harry made the rounds to say hello to friends and acquaintances. I could easily spot the difference between the two. The acquaintances would completely ignore my presence and focus on Harry. They'd name drop or mention a project they were working on trying to get some sort of approval from him. Harry was always polite, I'd never know him to be anything but. As for his friends, they would not only be introduced to me, but they would usually acknowledge me and ask who I was. Many even asked if I was Liv, making it clear Harry had mentioned me. I couldn't help but smile or shoot him a glance each time it happened.
