Sam and I gather some weapons from the car "Did you and Dean sort out whatever problems you guys were having?" Sam asks "There was no problem" I say "Of course there was" Sam says "I got bored, tried to find some fun and he didn't like it because he was acting like a hypocrite. We talked it out" I say "Dean doesn't talk" Sam replies "Fine. I told him to back off and fuck off and he took it like a champ because he knows not to push me because little girl Reg can take big boy Dean in a second. Is that better?" I ask sarcastically "Sounds a little more believable" Sam replies with a smile "Of course it is" I say

"He's been very on edge when you're around, I don't get it" Sam says "Neither do I. It doesn't really matter anyways, we have more important things going on" I say "Yeah but being around each other so much like this, like before. Isn't it bothering you guys? You had a real thing going on before we left him and Dad" Sam says, I close the boot of the car and lean against it "I mean, we were young back then. I was 18, he was my first real thing but the time apart helped" I say "I don't believe you, you were in love with Dean" Sam says "And then I was in love with Grayson and they both turned out the same. And then there was Ash" I say "Except Grayson really hurt you, more than Dean, and Ash turned out to be a vampire" Sam says

"Yes, he did. It's the life that we have Sam, we're not made for serious relationships. We're hunters, living like this only means one of us ends up dead or hurt and I'm not taking that chance" I say, Sam looks hurt "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it like that" I say "I know, but you're right" Sam replies, we both sigh "We really can't catch a break can we?" I say with a laugh, Sam chuckles "That's the life" He replies and I nod, we gather the bags and go back to the room "After this is over, you and I need one quality time together" I say before opening the door "You think Dean will let us leave him alone for two minutes?" Sam asks "Yeah we can just put porn on and sit him on the couch. He'll be just fine" I joke and Sam laughs at me

we enter the room "We think we've got a serious lead on the thing that killed Mom. So, uh, this warehouse—it's 1435 West Erie. Dad, if you get this, get to Chicago as soon as you can." Dear is talking on the phone and hangs up "Voicemail?" Sam asks "Yeah, Jesus, what did you guys get?" He asks motioning to the bags, we chuckle at him "I ransacked that trunk. Holy water, every weapon that I could think of, exorcism rituals from about a half dozen religions. I'm not sure what to expect, so I guess we should just expect everything" Sam says, We sit on the beds and start loading the guns silently "Big night" Dean says

"Yeah. You nervous?" Sam asks "No. Why are you?" Dean asks "No, no way" Sam replies, they remain quiet and I don't interrupt. This is a big thing for them "God, could you imagine if we actually found that damn thing? That demon?" Sam says with a soft sigh "Let's not get ahead of ourselves, all right?" Dean replies "I know. I'm just sayin', what if we did? What if this whole thing was over tonight? Man, I'd sleep for a month. Go back to school—be a person again." Sam says, he looks at me "Would be nice" I say with a smile, I like the hunt but I also like peace of being able to pick and choose when I hunted "You guys wanna go back to school?" Dean asks "Yeah, once we're done huntin' the thing. Right Reg?" Sam asks "I mean yeah" I say with a shrug "Huh." Dean says quietly

"Why, is there somethin' wrong with that?" Sam asks "No. No, it's, uh, great. Good for you too." Dean replies but I can hear the disappointment in his voice "I mean, what are you gonna do when it's all over?" Sam asks "It's never gonna be over. There's gonna be others. There's always gonna be somethin' to hunt." Dean replies "But there's got to be somethin' that you want for yourself—" Sam being to say "Yeah, I don't want you to leave the second this thing's over, Sam." Dean snaps back, he gets up and walks to his dresser "Dude what is your problem?" Sam asks getting annoyed "Why do you think I drag you everywhere? Huh? I mean, why do you think I came and got you at Stanford in the first place?" Dean asks turning to face us

"'Cause Dad was in trouble. 'Cause you wanted to find the thing that killed Mom." Sam replies Dean turns his back to us again trying to hide his emotions "Yes, that, but it's more than that, man" Dean says, I frown "You and me and Reggie and Dad—I mean, I want us....I want us to be together again. I want us to be a family again" Dean says turning to face us once again "We never stopped being a family Dean. Sam and I we would do anything for you" I speak up "But things will never be the way they were before" Sam finishes my sentence "Could be" Dean replies sadly

" I don't want them to be. I'm not gonna live this life forever. Dean, when this is all over, you're gonna have to let me go my own way. You're going to have to let us go our own way" Sam says holding my hand, I look down at it and Dean does too "And you? That's what you want to do?" Dean asks me "Dean," I being "I know, it's Sammy you're always going to choose Sammy" Dean raises his voice and I drop my face slightly with a sigh

"Let's just go" I say

We go to the warehouse and sneak in through the elevator, we squeeze in between the gate and the wall. We draw out guns and hide behind some crates while Meg is speaking an ancient language at her altar "Guys" Meg speaks in English, and the three of us share a look "hidings a little childish, don't you think?" Meg asks "Good plan Dean" I whisper with a fake smile "Well, that didn't work out like I planned" Dean admits  "Why don't you come out?" Meg asks, we do "And you must be Regina" She says with a knowingly dark smile, I give a smile and nod slowly "That's me" I reply "And Sam, I have to say, this puts a real crimp in our relationship." She continues

"Yeah, tell me about it." Sam replies "So, where's your little Daeva friend?" Dean asks "Around. You know, that shotgun's not gonna do much good." Meg says "Oh, don't worry, sweetheart. The shotgun's not for the demon." Dean replies "So, who is it, Meg? Who's coming? Who are you waiting for?" Sam asks "You" She adds, Something grabs onto my neck and rips my throat out. I look up shocked, choking on my own blood. The boys are looking at me shocked and pained when I drop to the floor and everything goes dark
