Chapter 81

Sam went on a mission to get Kevin back to the bunker once he had found him and Dean and I chose to wait until he came back to tell him about the pregnancy

"Pregnant?" Sam asks me to repeat myself for the third time "yes Sammy, pregnant, with child" I say "and it's a girl?" Sam asks "yes, Castiel blurted it out before I told him I would rather not know" I say with a shrug, I rub my belly "we have a new Winchester on the way" I say, Sam is smiling ear to ear when Dean comes into the map room with a tray "I didn't know what your favourite was, because well it's blood but I have o neg, b negative and A positive. I also brought pancakes, cake and strawberry pie" Dean says placing the tray in front of me, the blood bags are all in cups with little tags according to each one, I smile at the sweet gesture "b neg, is my favourite. But I'm not picky, my little hunter has be binging blood like crazy" I admit reaching for the b neg cup and drinking it, "little hunter?" Sam jokes, I shrug "she will be whatever the hell she wants, right Joanie?" I ask

Dean shakes his head "no" he says pursing his lips together slightly "yeah you're right" I say, I drink up all three cups and start on the food "what will she be?" Sam asks, I look up with a frown "what?" Dean asks "I mean, will she be human or will she be both? How did it ever work anyways?" Sam asks "Naomi got what was already there and just fertilised it" Castiel replies, we all jump "Castiel? What? Where have you been asshat?" I ask frowning "heaven, a lot has been happening" Castiel says "listen, we can pick up heaven duty tomorrow. Today, we just celebrate" Dean says laying his hand in my belly, I smile "so she just fertilised you?" Sam says going back to the question "yeah, it's not like we were ever careful for all I knew I had nothing to fertilise" I reply, Sam scrunches his whole face in disgust "You asked" I say "and now I wish I didn't" he replies, I laugh at him

Castiel sits down next to me "and fyi, before you try to keep me here from all the action. Don't" I say putting a finger up, the boys look offended "I know you better than that, you're going to try talk me into taking time off from the hunts or the angel shower. I'm still a hunter, pregnant but still a hunter and a vampire which makes me stronger than you. And pregnant which makes me more neurotic than other pregnant women" I warn them, they share a look "fine" Dean says. He pours three glasses of whiskey and hands them to Castiel and Sam before taking his "Cas what will she be?" I ask "human, with vampire blood" he replies "which means?" I ask "it means that she will age as normal, even have children if she wants. But if she dies she'll come back as a vampire" Castiel replies "wow. I wasn't expecting that" I say "what were you expecting?" Castiel asks "I have no idea" I reply honestly

"Are you happy with this?" Castiel asks "of course I'm happy with this, I've always wanted to to be a mother" I say rubbing my belly softly "since she was 16" Sam adds "I remember that baby fever you had going on" Dean chuckles "it wasn't baby fever. Well it's self explanatory, four years later I got stuck in a hunt and turned into a vamp. Call it a sense of foreboding" I say with a smile, they laugh at me "so we know you hunted on your own back on Stanford. But how did Sammy never notice?" Dean asks "when you were gone for weeks or days" Dean continues "she had a boyfriend at the time, always told me they were off on some trip" Sam says "and you believed her?" Dean asks "we were living a pretty normal life, I didn't think she would be off hunting monsters in the middle of the night" Sam replies "I got bored, and law was so damn long. I compelled my professors after I turned just to stay in the class because you were there" I say with a shrug

"Seriously?" Sam asks "of course, I wasn't going to leave you alone. I promised I would try and I did, kind of" I say "you kept hunting, that's not trying" Sam says "he's right" Dean adds, I roll my eyes and grab an empty cup of blood forgetting it was empty "damn" I say looking at it "I'm on it" Dean grabs the cup from my hand and runs away to the kitchen, I laugh at him "he's taking this pretty well, I never thought he would be excited to be a dad" Sam says "of course he is, I mean just by the way he speaks about Ben?" I ask "that is true, he was oddly good when we had to take care of this baby shifter a few years back" Sam mentions "really?" I ask "yeah, even got him to stop crying" Sam replies, I can't help but smile. Dean comes back in and hands me the cup, he kisses my cheek and sits back down. I take a huge sip "oh this is good" I whisper to myself. Kevin walks slowly "hey kev" I say without looking back, the boys turn to Kevin "I didn't mean to intrude" Kevin says

"Oh please, take a seat, grab a drink. We're celebrating like humans today" I say "you're not drinking" Kevin says "that is because I cannot drink. You beautiful prophet, telling me a prophecy without even noticing" I say resting both my hands on my belly "you're pregnant?" He asks, I smile and nod "yes I am, so you were right I will be a mum" I say "I told you so" Kevin replies "in an insensitive way" Dean adds, I tap his shoulder "it's fine, the kid was going through some shit. How are you feeling now little Kev? Are you hungry? Did you sleep?" I ask sitting up, I can smell the stress on him. He just recently lost his mum and I feel the instinct to just baby him in every way possible, I can't help it "you're doing it again" Sam adds, I roll my eyes "I am hungry" Kevin says, I nod and get up from the chair. I go into the kitchen, prepare a plate of pancakes that Dean made earlier, add some syrup and make a nice coffee before bringing it back to Kevin

I lay the plate in front of him and tap his shoulder "you eat now, breakfast for dinner" I say smiling and return to my chair "you're babying him" Sam adds "he doesn't mind, I can feel it" I say "I don't" he replies with a mouth full, I smile "good, plus I can't help it. I'm not only pregnant but a vampire mother. Everything is heightened so, I can literally smell it when someone needs smothering" I say frowning "it's weird" I say "you can sense it?" Sam asks, I nod "I'm going to shower" Dean says and kisses the top of my head before walking off  "I miss TV" Castiel says, he disappears "Sammy?" I ask "what can you smell?" Sam asks, I purse my lips together. Kevin goes to the kitchen to drop his plate and I walk over to Sam, he stands up and I open my arms. He instantly hugs me tight "you're going to be an amazing mother, I'm so happy for you" Sam whispers "thank you Sammy"
