Chapter 45

Three years later in PURGATORY

"BENNY" I yell throwing the knife to him, my fellow vampire and only friend in this godforsaken place. I thought that werewolf venom sent me into oblivion three years ago, until I woke up here surrounded by all the other monsters who have been killed, living recklessly in these woods trying to survive another day. You survive here, and you get to stay here, you get killed and that's it. There's nothing more to it, death is death around here. I gave up my long hair last year when I can into contact with another Wendigo and it took advantage of the length it had so I cut it short with my lovely knife

Benny stabs the werewolf who attacked him and walks over to me "this knife is coming in handy, how did you find it?" Benny asks looking at the demon knife before handing it to me "stole it off a demon about a year ago I guess, just before I saved your ass" I say with a smile, Benny laughs and roll his eyes at me. We kneel down in front of the now dead woman in front of us and take turn feeding on her "it's never as nice as it was when they're alive" I say "around here this is as fresh as it will ever get" Benny says, I nod "we should get a move on if we want to make it until tomorrow" I say leading the way, I jump over a giant tree with Benny close behind. We walk deeper into the woods until we our usual camping ground, an overly large tree. We climb up and get comfortable "it's been one hell of a day" Benny says, I nod "I miss being on earth" I say leaning back against the branch and looking up at the dark starless sky "me too" Benny replies "did you have a nest? You never spoke about that" He asks I shake my head

"I was the only vampire, my family are hunters. I got lucky with them, considering I was too until I got targeted for something my adoptive father did. What about you" I ask "I did, until I fell in love with a Greek woman and the old man banished me to this paradise"  Benny replies "did you have someone?" Benny asks, I sigh "my best friend brother," I say, he laughs "isn't there a rule against that?" He asks "yes, there was. But we were young and we never moved on I guess. Not that moving on is easy and you're a hunter anyways" I say "Were you together for long?" Benny asks "I guess, until I got kidnapped and tortured for about five years. It's how I ended up here. The son of a bitch who took me injected me with werewolf venom. My boyfriend is the one who killed me, took me out of my misery" I reply 

"He had to kill you?"

"There wasn't any other way out, the venom had gotten to my brain. We tried everything we could but I was at the point of no return, the hallucinations had gotten worse and the hunger was making me almost rabid. Only thing that kept me from killing those boys is how much I love them" I admit, Benny doesn't reply. I sit up and he's watching the movement under us, I can recognise those locks of blonde hair anywhere "Son of a bitch" I mutter, he looks up just as I jump down on him. I smile, my demon knife in hand. I pin him up against the tree "Hi Ash" I say, his eyes widen. The fear is clear as his heart pounds against his chest 

"You're here too?" Ash asks "Considering what you did to me, are you surprised?" I ask, He smirks "Right the werewolf venom, how did that turn out?" Ash asks "Real pretty, just how your head will look separated from your body" I say with a smile, I press my knife against his neck "Please, please don't" He begs "Begging? " Oh Ash, how low did you fall" I say, cutting into his neck. He screams and I roll my eyes before ripping his head off with my own hand. I hold his head up proudly for Benny, who's still up on the tree, to see. She shakes his head with a laugh 

Somebody tackles me to the ground, a knife against my neck. I look up at the emerald green eyes I thought I would never see again, he smiles at me realising how surprised I am to see him in here. I push him off an spin him down "Dean fucking Winchester what the fuck are you doing here?" I growl "And I hope to God Sammy isn't here with you" I continue, he grabs the collar of my flannel and pulls me down to kiss me. I let go of him and rest my forehead against his 

"How did you get here?" I whisper "We have another problem on earth, I don't know how I got here but we both did" Dean says "We both?" I ask, I stand up and offer him a hand before helping him up to his feet "Hello Regina" Castiel says, I turn to face him and pull him into a hug "Castiel, THE angel of the Lord. In Purgatory" I say pulling away to look at him "Where the hell is Sammy?" I ask turning to Dean "He's alive" Dean says "And Bobby?" I ask, Dean doesn't reply "Dean?" I ask, my eyes instantly filling with tears "We had a uh, hunt these new monsters. Leviathans. And Bobby got shot, he didn't make it out of hospital" Dean replies, his eyes getting glossy. I nod, take a step away before turning back to him and slapping him in the face. Dean stares at me, offended and shocked 

"Are you fucking crazy? Bobby is dead, and now you're here with me? You had one fucking job, Sam is alone on earth Dean" I say trying to contain my voice in order to not attract attention, I hear some shuffling. I grab Castiel and Dean before super jumping back onto the tree. Dean groans at the sudden jump while Castiel just makes himself comfortable "And who are you?" Dean asks Benny clearly suspicious "He's my friend, kid of of. More like a house elf" I joke, Benny rolls his eyes and puts his hand out for Dean to shake which he does "How long have you been here?" I ask "A year maybe?" Dean replies, I pinch the bridge of my nose softly and close my eyes 

"I know you're worried about Sammy" Dean whispers lifting my head up, I drop my hand and look into his eyes "It had to be one of us, and I would rather have him be alive than here instead of me. I promised you and dad that I would take care of Sam and that's exactly what I have been doing up there" Dean says "Except when he went to hell and came back without his soul" Castiel speaks up, I purse my lips together "Know when to shut up Cas" Dean says "Sammy in hell?" I ask "It's a long story, maybe uh we can talk about it when we find a way out of here. Cas, here disappeared the moment we got here. Apparently, he figured out how to get me, us now, out of here" Dean says, I look at Cas "You know how he can get out?" I ask "We" Dean corrects me, I nod 

"Yeah, we have to find the portal tomorrow or we're stuck here for another year" Castiel replies "Then you better get some rest" I say, I climb a little higher and watch as they get comfortable. Cas exchanges a look with me, we both know the portal won't get me out but it will get him out of here for sure
