Shoshone, Idaho

Dean drives up to the gates of the Cassity Farms, the gates open by themselves and Dean drives in. The farm is beautiful, neat and kept, like something straight out of the movies. Dean turns the car off and turns his body so he can see Sam and I " All right, keep an eye out. Anybody with a Hellhound on their ass is gonna be showing signs – hallucinating, freaking out – the usual." Dean says "And if we find someone?" Sam asks "You get 'em clear." Dean says as he picks up the demon blade "I spike fido. The crowd goes wild." He says and puts the knife in the inside pocket of his jacket. They exit the car and I follow close behind, I hear a noise behind us and I turn around to see someone on a mechanic dolly under a tractor

"Hey uh who's in charge of this place?" I ask, a young woman slides out and sits up "You're looking at her" She replies, I'm smiling impressed while the guys are looking slightly surprised "You... own the ranch?" Sam asks "Nope, just manage the property. You guys hear about the job?" she asks, I nod "How'd you guess?" Dean asks "We get our share of drifters." she replies "Ah." Dean replies, he's staring at her and I narrow my eyes at him "Ever worked a farm before?" she asks "Definitely." Dean lies "We're quick learners." Sam replies, Dean glances at me and purses his lips together when I make a 'wtf' look

A man approaches us "Ellie, who we got here?" the man asks "I am Dean, this is Regina and Sam" Dean replies. "Oh. Carl Granville. A pleasure." Carl replies "Pleasure. So you're not a Cassity?" Sam asks "No, my wife is. Her and her family own the place. I'm just one those, uh – what you call 'em?" He starts and pats his somewhat pudgy belly "– trophy husbands." He continues and laughs, I laugh along "So, we, uh, hiring the fellas?" Carl asks "Not sure yet." Ellie replies

"Oh, come on. They seem like swell guys." Carl says, I clear my throat "And lady of course" he adds "Well, he's right. We're swell." Dean adds, we smile at Carl

Ellie takes us to a barn "You bed down in here. Breakfast is at 5:00, dinner is at 8:00, and in between, you're mine. Questions?" She asks, I shake my head "I miss my room." Dean whispers "We're good." Sam replies "Okay. The job is yours if you want it. But I better warn you – it's crap work." Ellie says, I shrug "I'm not afraid to get dirty" I reply "Great" She says

Fast forward to us shovelling manure, I scrunch my nose "Oh god" I whisper "Crap – she literally meant crap" Dean complains, he dumps the manure from his shovel onto a wheelbarrow and walks over to a horse with its head hanging out of the stall "I hate you" Dean says to the horse "Your husband" Sam whispers "I know" I say pursing my lips together, Ellie is arguing with an older lady about organic food and whatnots for the horses. she sighs and Dean goes over to her "She's a real piece of work, huh?" Dean says

"Alice Cassity's a piece of something, all right? But what are we gonna do? She's the boss." Ellie replies "Drink?" Dean suggests and Ellie walks away, he walks over to us "So, what are we thinking?" Sam asks "What, dealwise? Well, Ellie's the help, so that rules her out." Dean says "And Carl doesn't really seem like the sell-your-soul type. So, Alice?" Sam suggests "Seems like the most likely" I say "Should we talk to her?" Sam asks, I shake my head "Why? So she can lie to us and then call the cops? No. No, we're gonna have to go stalker on this one, Sammy." Dean replies, we agree

The day goes by awfully slowly, dinner was good enough to keep the boys going, and I down a blood bag in the car before coming back to the barn. "They're having dinner on the patio" I say sitting down on the bed "And you" I say slapping the back of Deans head, he looks at me offended "What the hell Regina?"He asks, Dean looks at Sam who shrugs. I hear a faint growling in the distance and turn around slowly "Do you know why I got slapped?" Dean whispers "You keep staring at Ellie" Sam whispers, Dean is silent for a second

"That's why? I was being friendly" Dean replies "Yeah well your friendly always ends with you getting sex" Sam replies "Can you ladies shut it?" I ask "What do you hear?" Dean asks, I turn to them and raise both my eyebrows "Nothing anymore, but I heard growling. I think they're he-" I begin to say when the strong smell of fresh blood hits me, I begin to lose control of my face "You're vamped" Dean points out "I know, I can smell fresh blood" I say and just as I do, a high pitched scream echoes through the farm

We exchange a look and I speed out stopping at the stairs to the patio where Alice is staring down at a very very dead Carl, his blood smells intoxicatingly fresh "Holy shit" I say taking a step back and walking into someone "Get her out of here" Sam says to Dean who pulls me away "Do you need blood?" Dean asks, I sit on the bed and he kneels in front of me "No not, I'll be fine. It was just really fresh, blood doesn't usually bother me that much anymore" I say

"Maybe it's because you've got adrenaline from being properly back in with the big cases" Dean suggests "Maybe" I say and shrug, he looks into my eyes "I'm sorry for being overly friendly, I mean I didn't even realise" Dean says, I smile and cup his face with my hands "There's nothing to be sorry about, unless you were doing it on purpose" I say and lean down to kiss him

Sam walks in, Dean gets up and sits next to me "So what's the plan?" Sam asks "We can summon a demon" Dean suggests "Are you stupid?" I ask "Are you just used to calling me names? Because stupid is a new one" Dean says and I roll my eyes "Plan "A" bombed, so welcome to plan "B" – we get some red-eyed bitch in a trap, then we hold a knife on her until she calls us in a pooch— special delivery." Dean says, I shake my head "Yeah, except when Crowley finds out we're dialing up hell, he won't send one Hellhound – he'll send a hundred. That's not a plan, Dean – that's suicide." Sam says "I agree with Sam"

"Of course you do. Well, you got a better idea?" Dean says "Yeah, we stay here. I just talked to Alice in the barn. Carl didn't sell his soul for oil – he sold it for Alice." Sam explains "His wife?" I ask "He loved her, she barely noticed him, so he made a deal. And now that time's up, it's like she barely even knew the guy." Sam replies "You think our demon signed up more than one schmuck while he was in town?" Dean asks "Wouldn't be the first time. Look, Dean, this family's rich because someone booked a one-way ticket downstairs. And as of tomorrow, they're all gonna be right here." Sam continues

"And you want to scope 'em out?" Dean asks "I want to kill a Hellhound and not die. How 'bout you?" Sam replies "Two days – then we do it my way" Dean warns, we agree
