Jade was a child trying to grasp everything that had happened in her life. She was an orphan that was pulled into a war rather quickly. Then she was facing extinction from radiation still spreading across the world. During that time in bunker, it gave her some peace that she needed. She was able to reflect on her life and what she might do next. But then they were dealing with a group trying to control the only spot left on earth and as a result, they destroyed what earth they had left.

Now they stood on another planet trying to make it their home. But it proved to be not another easy task. For one, she was left on the ship while the others dealt with the Primes. She had known that Nia had a version of herself she did not want to keep, but she had left Fox to help Nia through it. Jade could not help but feel guilty about how try events turned out. She had lost a sister and abandoned her mother in her time of need.

But when Nia had gone to deal with the anomaly, she had insisted that Jade stay there in Sanctum. As much as Jade wanted to follow Nia to help her, she knew that there were things Nia was dealing with that she couldn't possibly help with. But being there in Sanctum, she could help Indra keep the peace. She was still a fighter and Octavia had even taught her to use a gun but the girl still preferred the methods Nia used.

But Jade couldn't help but feel alone in this whole mess. Nia was away, Fox was gone, and everyone was preoccupied with the situation at hand. Clarke had tried to send her to school with Madi but Jade didn't feel like learning what the people of Sanctum taught. Besides, Indra needed all hands on deck.

That's how Jade found herself sitting on porch after a long day of making sure the groups didn't kill one another. It all felt unfamiliar being in that movement. She was in an actual house surrounded by people who were dealing with other matters. As she stared at the night sky she couldn't help but wonder.

She wondered about the past, the present and even the future. She wondered if it would've been better if her path was different. If she had stayed with Nia instead of Fox, would the outcome be the same? She even wondered if this planet was worth all this fighting about. It did hold a form of resemblance to earth, she would give it that. But there was much they still had to learn about this place.

"Have you eaten?" A voice sounded from beside her making her look.

Tate was also one that had stayed when the group left for the anomaly. His more protective side was telling him to go Nia. But her explanation made more sense that he stay as well. After all, many would be intimidated when they spotted the burly man headed in their direction. Not to mention, with him there Nia would have some reassurance that no harm would come to Jade.

"I'm not hungry." Jade replied still staring off at that tree line.

"You should still eat. You'll need your strength when you need it." Tate informed handing her a bowl that he had brought.

Jade took the bowl from him muttering a thanks. Tate motioned to the seat beside the girl who simply scooted over to make room. The two welcomed the silence among them. It had been an eventful couple of days so they accepted this down time given to them.
