"May I know the reason you guys are following us for?" Tang Shushui asked coldly.

"Who was following you? We're going the same way so isn't it normal for us to walk the same path?" Song Shi rebuked hurriedly with an agitated face.

"Oh, so you were going to my restaurant? Then I will have to thank you for the good business in advance." Tang Shushui sneered before turning back around.

"Don't get mad darling, it's not good for the baby and yourself," Jiang Yanwei coaxed as he smoothed his wife's wrinkled brows, his eyes almost overflowing with gentleness.

"Ok, I won't get mad. Let go eat, plus I need to see how my new dessert menu is doing," Tang Shushui complied and then started making his way to the restaurant along with his husband, while the Wan couple could only follow them.

The Wan couple who head their conversation couldn't help but once again be sour. Wan Tian had left Tang Shushui because he wanted a sophisticated wife and also because he had a possibility of being infertile. But the ger he left now had a very reputed restaurant in town with many noble clients, even if it can't compare to the restaurant in the capital, the nobles that frequented Tang Shushui's restaurant were enough to catapult his career if he had married him. Now he was stuck with a wife that he had just recently discovered is nothing but a greedy shrew, and no matter how much they tried Song Shi wasn't able to get pregnant.

Song Shi also regretted marrying Wan Tian. Not only was he a lazy person who barely did anything but he was also entitled. It was recently that he started discovering that all his achievements were due to Tang Shushui who always supported and did his homework. Even though he knew that Wan Tian had some brain he also was aware that Wan Tian's career would be limited. The best he would be was a small-rank petty official. And it seemed like the family was also aware of this too as they started having less respect for Wan Tian as a scholar.

Wan Tian's mother, Second Lady Wan, and his father Second Mater Wan were the only ones who still had high hopes for Wan Tian and were willing to still dote on him, which mean that almost all the workload fell on his shoulders. To make it worst the first branch which always laid low because of Wan Tian's prospects seems to now be more outgoing. They were scared to harm their son, Wan Shan's future, and had always told him to be inferior to Wan Tian.  They knew their son could compete with Wan Tian but the first branch had no money, so they could only lat low so as to not offend the second branch but seeing how the second branch was losing the support they made their move and sent their son to the town school.

So it was no surprise that he, the wife of Wan Tian suffered the most. While he was suffering, every now and then he would hear a wave of praise for Tang Shushui, or hear his achievements. To add salt to the wound, his mother-in-law who now regretted not marrying Tang Shushui to her would always compare him to Tang Shushui and blabber on about how Tang Shushui was a daughter-in-law who brought prospects to his family while he just lazed around. So over time, the hatred he had for Tang Shushui was enough for him to go crazy.

So only the gods could imagine how he felt when he walked into the restaurant he always looked down on and saw the beautiful designs, the long waiting lines, and the nobles he wouldn't dare to even imagine meeting. Wan Tian also couldn't help but feel another wave of regret. Why did he leave such a good ger? Was he crazy? With a sour face, he could only watch as Tang Shushui went to a table with his husband as they laughed.

"Welcome to Jiang's dinner, which venue would you like?" Haohao asked with a forced smile seeing who were the ones who came to the restaurant.

"We would like the Lily venue, please," Song Shi responded before Wan Tian even had the chance to speak. He had heard of this restaurant from people in the village who went there to eat. They told him about the venues and he knew that the Dandelion venue was meant to be low-class. How could he insult himself like this? Wan Tian really wanted to slap this stupid ger. He should be the most understanding about their current financial status so how could he pick the Lily venue? Didn't he see how they lived at home now? He wanted to refute him but seeing the eyebrow raise from Haohao he could only swallow his remarks and agree with it.

"Here's your venue pass, have a good lunch!" Haohao said as he handed them a cloth embroidered with a Lily on it. The couple took it and were then guided in by a server.

"Please have a seat here dear customers we will be right with you. Please read the menu and let us know what you would like to order," The server said with a smile as he guided them to an empty table. Just like the server said a waitress came to them after a while to take their orders.

"What would you like to eat today, dear customers?" The waitress asked as she prepared to write in her notepad.

"We would like a medium bowl of pork fried rice, and a medium bowl of chicken wonton soup. For drinks, we could like to have medium cups of Chai Tea, and for dessert, we would like to have two medium very berry tarts." Song Shi ordered and Wan Tian's stiff face finally went down. At least Song Shi knew what he should and should not order.

"Okay, we will be right with you sir," The waitress said before she made he way to the kitchen. After a while, the food that they ordered was brought and they immediately started eating. The food they ordered was not uncommon and they had eaten it before but they were shocked by how flavorful this food was. Now they understood why people were in awe of this restaurant. The Chai Tea was something that was novel to them but the sweet taste of it immediately overcame their resistance. The tart was also another novelty that won their hearts. When they finished a server came to take their bill.

"Your food cost is twenty-five wen, along with the venue fee of ten wen, your total is thirty-five wen," The waitress announced which shocked the Wan couple. They had to pay a fee to sit here? The server so their faces and understood that they were confused. Seeing this he took the time to explain to them.

"There had been some problems where people would come to a venue but would order food from a lower venue. Many people had been coming to the Rose venue, or the Lily venue but would order food from the Dandelion venue. Of course, it's not prohibited to do that but there are other people that want to eat in the Rose venue and are able to afford it but because of the people that come here and pull this trick, we had to lose the customers that could afford the venues for those who couldn't so out boss had this new rule implemented. Plus you had to order at least two dishes from the venue you had chosen to be able to order food from other venues." The server explained.

"Okay no problem, here's the payment," Wan Tian said as he handed over the money to the server. He had no reason to be mad as he was very satisfied with the food and plus the reason for the fee was very reasonable and even if he was mad what could he do? The server took the money and signed the bill and had another server take him to the checkout desk to get his change.
