Chapter 19 

Sky

"Skyscraper!" I mentally rolled my eyes when an annoying voice filled the whole class room. 

"Dude! May mga scholars daw na transferee! Kaklase natin yung isa!" Nicoulas was moving like a fucking worm while saying that. He's hopeless, he seriously has no shame. 

"Maganda raw! Liligawan ko agad yun!" He was dreamingly added. 

"Pero parang hindi kami bagay. Narinig ko kasi sa mga teachers kanina na ang talino daw nun. 98 daw average e! What if kayong dalawa ang bagay?!" He punched my shoulder. 

"I don't care, just shut up. " I stopped him from spitting gibberish. I actually don't give a damn who the transferee is. I don't give attention to anyone but my professors. Studying is my daily habit and once I started facing my books no one would grab my attention but something strange happened. 

I hate cliches, I hate romance but that transferee girl changed my preference. 

I unconsciously put down the book I've been reading when I heard her soft voice. 

"H-hi, I am Estella Celeste Mendoza, 14 years old. I live in Batangas City" She introduced herself in front of the class. 

I don't usually observe someone but damn.

She's morena. Waist length straight hair—it was loose and well combed which made her look skinny. She has a small face with chinita black eyes, not so thick eyebrows and her nose is small yet pointed. My gaze dropped on her thin pink lips.A smile formed on my lips when I noticed the yellow tiny clip on her hair just above her right ear. 

Since it's her first day here, she was just dressed as a civilian. Just a simple white shirt,  skinny jeans, and white rubber shoes. Simple yet beautiful. 

She's quite small too. If I'm guessing it right, she is the smallest among this section.

"Puso'y tinamaan~" 

Nicoulas's traumatizing voice pulled all my senses back to corporeality. I took my gaze off of her and cleared my throat before I reached for my book again while acting like an innocent grade 8 student —as if I didn't drown from her presence. 

"Nicoulas Cooper, Is that your respective seat?The last time I checked, C was far from M '' I mentally grinned when our teacher mentioned the annoyings' name. I continued reading my book and acting cool. 

"Sorry ma'am! Gusto ko kasi laging katabi si bespren!" I shoved his hand when he put it around my shoulder. My classmates laughed at that but I just rolled my eyes inwardly. I rarely talk, kapag about acads lang ako madalas nagsasalita. 

"Ms. Mendoza please sit down before Mr. Monfero's seat. Our sitting arrangement is in alphabetical order, He's also the class president. If you still have questions you could rely on him. " My system went wild hearing that. Fuck! Magkatabi kami? 

"Thank you, ma'am" her soft voice is freaking melting me! 

Still—I acted like I didn't care but I gripped my book more when I heard her footsteps towards me. I secretly gulped the moment she sat down, and the distance between us is making me breathe heavily. 

It wasn't uncomfortable but damn! I'm shy! 

I simply smell my sleeves, I don't want her to think that I am not putting on any perfume. I want her to have the impression that I will be a man with a good scent. People's impression towards me never once makes me conscious — ngayon lang. Just her impression towards me matters.
