The forest of death

Anko Mitarashi explained to them the purpose of the second part of the chunin exams. A survival test in the very feared forest of death. Each team was given either a heaven scroll or an earth scroll and were tasked to get the scroll they didn't have. Naruto wasn't afraid of the forest as he had been training her for years and was familiar with it. Each team were taken to their respective gates and once the signal was issued, they went in.

''There is a small defensive position over there. We can use it for cover, make traps and plan ahead.'' Naruto said.

''Wait, how come you know this, Naruto?'' Sakura asked.

''I have been training here for years.'' Naruto answered, making his teammate gasp.

''Years!? But this place is dangerous. You could've died.'' Sakura said and Naruto didn't care.

''I'm still here, aren't I? Besides, as ninjas, we will have to be sent to dangerous terrain. Better if we gain as much experience as possible.'' Naruto said and escorted his team to the place that he told them about. He then pulled out scrolls and gave it to them. ''These contain traps and supplies. Always be prepared and don't put yourself in a war of attrition. I'll go scout ahead.'' Naruto said and jumped up to the trees. He made several clones and summoned some small scout dragons.

Naruto went via body flicker and found two genins from Rain. He remembered them and quickly but quietly moved in. In an instant, he cut off their heads and searched through their belongings. Only a heaven scroll, same as theirs. ''Disappointing but another team may hopefully have the same luck, except with an earth scroll. We might be able to barter though... ugh! Whatever. I'm taking this as a war trophy if it doesn't have any use.'' Naruto grumbled and went back up. His clones dispelled and gave him their memories. The dragons also returned and informed him. Naruto then went back to his teammates and found one Rain genin down. ''You took him down, I see.''

''He wasn't that tough. Where were you?'' Sasuke asked.

''I remembered explicitly saying I was scouting. Whatever. I ran into his teammates and defeated them. I then searched through their belongings and found a heaven scroll like ours.'' Naruto said and then left without a word.

Naruto found two Grass genin killed by a gigantic bear and the beast was chasing after a red haired genin. Naruto hoped she had an earth scroll. Naruto kicked the bear hard and made it lose consciousness. Naruto looked at the scroll on the girl's hand and it was another heaven scroll. Naruto noticed the red hair and the unusually large reserves, slightly bigger than his own and similar to Kushina's. 'An Uzumaki?' Naruto thought as the possibility seemed plausible. ''I won't hurt you. What's your name?''

''K-K-Karin.'' the red hair introduced herself.

''Would you happen to be an Uzumaki, Karin?'' Naruto asked and the girl seemed lost. 'Bruh' was what went on in Naruto's mind. ''Well, I saved you and such so... feel free to go to the tower. Go east just a few hundred feet and run in a straight line. It's safe that way.'' Naruto said and got ready to leave.

''Wait!'' Karin shouted. ''What's your name?''

''Naruto Uchiha. Bye.'' Naruto said and left the area.

''Naruto Uchiha.'' Karin repeated his name. ''Huh, Naruto Uchiha. I'll remember that. What did he say again? Oh yeah! Go east a few hundred feet and then a straight line. I hope he's trustworthy.''

''Ready, Atsui?'' Samui, one of the Cloud genins, asked her brother. Though she was classified as a genin, her strength was more akin to an experienced jonin.
