I regained my composure after the unexpected interruption, quickly fixing my disheveled look and clearing my throat.

"Come in," Professor Medina called out, her voice firm yet composed.

The door opened, revealing Ate Shai with an apologetic smile on her face. "Sorry to interrupt, Prof. I just wanted to inform you that the guests are starting to arrive for the surprise party."

Professor Medina nodded, her eyes briefly meeting mine before shifting back to Ate Shai. "Thank you, Shai. We'll be there shortly."

As Ate Shai left the room, the professor turned to me with a subtle smile. "It seems the surprise party is about to begin. Shall we join the celebration, Miss Bautista?"

I couldn't help but reciprocate her smile, the tension from the intimate moment slowly dissipating. "Sure, Professor Medina. Let's not keep them waiting."

We both stood up, and I couldn't ignore the lingering warmth in the air as we exited the office together. The hallway was filled with excited whispers and the unmistakable sound of a gathering. The surprise party was in full swing.

The SSC members greeted us enthusiastically as we entered the room. The decorations were vibrant, the atmosphere festive. It was clear that everyone had put a lot of effort into making this day special for Professor Medina.

The professor graciously accepted the well-wishes, her eyes occasionally meeting mine. Ate Shai, who seemed to have recovered from our earlier cake fight, approached us with a mischievous grin.

"Looks like you two had your own celebration before the party, huh?" she teased, causing both Professor Medina and me to blush.

Ignoring the comment, Professor Medina addressed the crowd, expressing her gratitude for the surprise and acknowledging the hard work of the SSC members. As she spoke, her eyes never left mine, creating an unspoken connection between us.

The party continued with games, laughter, and heartfelt moments. I found myself drawn to Professor Medina's side, enjoying the celebration together. It was a unique experience, being both a student and someone special to the birthday celebrant.

Later in the evening, as the party began to wind down, Professor Medina pulled me aside. "Miss Bautista, thank you for everything today. It has been a memorable birthday, and I appreciate your efforts."

"It was my pleasure, Professor," I replied sincerely. "I'm glad I could make your day special."

She smiled warmly, and for a moment, it felt like the world around us disappeared. "Delaney, there's something I'd like to talk to you about," she said, her tone more serious.

My heart raced as I wondered what she wanted to discuss.

Before I could ask, she continued, "I—"

I woke up to the loud thud of the pillow hitting my face. Wtf!

"Daydreaming again about your hot Professor, huh! Ew, Zielle, so landi!"

I was about to throw the pillow back at his face, but he quickly moved away, so I chased after him.

After the playful pillow fight, I couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of the dream. "Alright, Jake, you win this round. My mind clearly needs a reality check."

He grinned, "Well, someone's got to keep your dreams in check. Now, let's go grab some breakfast and leave the daydreams behind."

He's Jake, my cousin from my Mom's side. We're of the same age, both studying at the same school. He's taking Engineering while mine's Architecture. This one probably just ended up here, maybe got scolded by his Mom again, just got here to piss me off.

As we left my room, the lingering traces of the dream dissipated, and I couldn't help but shake my head at the hilarity of my subconscious adventures.

Over a hearty breakfast filled with jokes and laughter, Jake couldn't resist teasing me about my dreamy escapade. "Maybe you should start a dream journal, Zielle. Your subconscious is hosting some wild parties."

Rolling my eyes, I replied, "Yeah, because dreaming about a surprise party for Professor Medina and then getting thudded with a pillow is totally normal."

We both chuckled, letting the morning banter erase any lingering remnants of the dream. As we strolled across the campus, the sun shining brightly, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the amusing start to the day.

Classes came and went, and the routine of student life carried on. The dream, now a distant memory, added a touch of whimsy to an otherwise ordinary day. Yet, in the back of my mind, I couldn't shake off the odd mix of amusement and curiosity about where my subconscious mind might take me next.

A/N: Hope you enjoyed the rollercoaster lovelife serye of our dear Zielle! Chapter closed! Thank you sooooooo damn much, everyone! Luvlots!
