"This shall be the eye-opener for a world full of ignorance."

Mu Western Sea
October 4, 1641

In the skies above the western sea of Mu, dozens of rapidly ascending objects — soared at high speed. The lights of the skies gracefully arced as they leveled their altitude, heading directly towards the opposing formation. In contrast, the incoming force appeared as a solid mass of wings and roaring propellers, screeching towards the heavens. Their jet-black fuselages bore the emblem of a red circle with a cross, gleaming in the sunlight. Their movements were a choreographed display of precision, as if dancing in the vast expanse of the sky.

Then, in the blink of an eye, they zeroed in on their objectives, and the lights and the mass of wings collided in the air.

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

Dozens of explosions immediately illuminated the sky, blasting supersonic shockwaves and shrapnel that tore through dozens of unfortunate targets.

"Atracas Anti-ballistic arrows of lights successfully intercepted 38 Gra Valkans aircrafts!" The triumphant announcement resounded through the communication channels.

"Send another wave! Slaughter every single one of them, as we always do!" The officer in charge at the Annonrial CIC barked out the order.

Then, in a heartbeat, another round of missiles was launched from the Annonrial fleet, dozens of them flying out of their VLS and igniting their propulsion systems. Hurtling at supersonic speed, they aimed to wipe out the incoming Gra Valkan attack formation. The sky became a canvas of streaking projectiles, each one a deadly arrow aimed with deadly precision.

And dozens more Gra Valkan aircraft disappeared off the radar screen. It's been 3 days since the beginning of the counteroffensive, and the Gra Valkans aren't calming down any soon. However, the Annonrials are on the brink of running out of anti-aircraft and anti-ship missiles, to the point where they're resorting using anti-ballistic missiles to intercept.

"Those damned locusts! We shot down eighteen hundred of them in just 3 days! Why, why do they keep coming?!" said the officer in frustration. Day and night, during the early counteroffensive, the Gra Valkan aircraft flew in large formations, probing their locations before sending in even greater numbers.

Of course, many assaults ended in failure or were aborted due to the devastating casualties they received from the Annonrials. But they aren't stopping anytime soon. Furthermore, the air is not the only problem.

"Gra Valkan surface fleet and submarines, sir!" shouted the radar operators, distressed. "31 of them, 47 kilometers away! Oh! They fired torpedoes! Spreading on our approximate locations! 30, 50, 79 torpedoes, no 115 torpedoes heading this way! At 45 knots!"

"What the hell is that country?!" The officer retorted hearing that number. For them, the Gra Valkan Empire was nothing but pure brute strength, relying heavily on numbers due to technological disparity, with no semblance of any appropriate logical actions in the past 7 months of conflict. However, unfortunately for them, the Gra Valkans had amassed their forces, learned, and devised tactics specialized for attrition warfare for their planned counteroffensive. The earlier confrontations were basically appetizers for the main dish.

This is when the powerful, impregnable air defense network of Annonrials began to crumble, and their fleet began to succumb to the sheer numbers that the Gra Valkans could throw into a fight.

The officer couldn't help but gulp. If the Annonrials got another fleet, fully replenished and supplied, they could effortlessly swat these technologically inferior pests like weeding out vermin. But right now, the reality is one fleet of 200 ships against an empire at war for the last decade, with thousands of factories churning out an inexhaustible amount of components, armaments, and other necessities for war. They have mines that will continue to harvest resources for their factories to keep them running, hundreds of shipyards that will continue to churn out ships to replenish their numbers, and even before the transfer they had thousands of ships from gigantic battleships and carriers to the smallest sea-going warships like frigates and corvettes. They have hundreds of millions of people providing an incredible pool of manpower, and tens of millions of soldiers on their side.
