The next morning, I woke up to the sound of my alarm blaring. Groggily, I reached over to turn it off but then remembered the urgent need to head to the store before school. Rubbing the sleep from my eyes, I pushed myself out of bed, determined to tackle the day ahead.

As I hurriedly got dressed, I couldn't help but think about what we needed from the store. The refrigerator seemed emptier than ever, and with Jungwon's insatiable appetite, we couldn't afford to run out of food. Grabbing my backpack, I made a mental note to make a comprehensive shopping list before leaving.

With a quick glance at the clock, I realized I needed to speed up if I wanted to make it to the market in time. Slipping on my shoes, I dashed out of the house, the cool morning breeze waking me up further.

Arriving at the bustling market, I grabbed a cart and ventured into the aisles. I scanned the shelves, searching for the essentials first. Fruits, vegetables, milk, and bread were at the top of the list. As I moved through the aisles, I couldn't help but notice a display of catnip nestled between the bags of pet food.

A mischievous idea crossed my mind as I remembered Jungwon's secret ability to transform into a cat. He trusted me with that secret, and it was a bond we shared. Smirking to myself, I decided to seize the opportunity for a playful prank.

I picked up a bag of catnip, imagining his reaction when he discovered it. It would be a harmless and funny surprise, and I knew he would appreciate the humor. After all, living together had brought us closer, and moments like these added a touch of lightheartedness to our daily lives.

With the catnip secured in my cart, I continued my shopping, making sure to check off everything on the list. As I approached the checkout counter, I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. Not only had I managed to wake up early and beat the rush, but I had also found a way to brighten Jungwon's day.

Leaving the market with a bag full of groceries, I couldn't wait to get home and see his reaction. The thought of his surprised face brought a smile to my lips. Our journey together was filled with unexpected twists, but it was these little moments of mischief and shared secrets that made it all worthwhile. And as I made my way to school, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the unique bond we had formed.

Once I arrived back home, I approached the door and knocked, eagerly awaiting Jungwon's reaction to the surprise I had in store for him. To my surprise, the door swung open, revealing a worried-looking Jungwon still in his pajamas. His eyes widened as he saw me, and he immediately gently grabbed my wrist and pulled me into the house. Concern etched across his face, he took the bags from my hand and placed them on the counter.

"Yoonie, where were you?" he asked, his voice tinged with worry. "I was starting to get really concerned."

I was taken aback by his genuine concern, but before I could respond, he seemed to brush off his worry and began organizing the groceries I had brought. Sensing that he didn't want to delve further into his emotions, I decided to play along and not mention anything about his earlier worry.

I quickly grabbed a bag from the counter, making sure to hide the catnip I had bought for the prank. I slipped it into my pocket, not wanting to spoil the surprise just yet. As Jungwon busied himself with organizing the food, I couldn't help but observe his actions. There was a subtle tension in the air as if he was trying to mask his true feelings.

After he finished organizing everything, he handed me his phone with the number screen pulled up. His expression was serious as he spoke, "Put your number."

I quirked a brow, slightly caught off guard by his sudden demand. "Why?" I questioned, taking his phone in my hand.

Jungwon's gaze softened, and he let out a sigh. "You can't just leave like that, Yoonie. You don't know how worried I was."

His words caught me off guard, and I realized that my actions had unintentionally caused him distress. I hadn't realized that he would be genuinely worried about my whereabouts. Feeling a mix of guilt and warmth, I quickly obliged and entered my number in his phone, naming myself "Ji-yoon."

He took the phone from me, his hands running through his messy hair in a gesture of frustration or relief, I couldn't quite tell. Without saying another word, he grabbed his uniform and headed to the bathroom to change.

While he was getting ready, I decided to make breakfast as a small gesture of apology. As I scrambled eggs and toasted bread, I couldn't help but feel a warmth in my chest. Jungwon's worry, though unexpected, was a sign that he genuinely cared about me. It was unlike him to show such concern, and the realization put a small smile on my face.
