I took my seat next to Jungwon, stealing glances at him from the corner of my eye. He seemed deep in thought as well, his brows furrowed slightly. I wanted to ask him about what he meant, but I couldn't bring myself to break the silence.

As the classroom gradually filled up, the sound of shuffling desks and murmurs of conversation filled the air. My mind, however, remained fixated on Jungwon's enigmatic words. What did he mean by testing something? His remark lingered in my thoughts, evoking a mix of confusion and curiosity. I couldn't shake the feeling that there was something he was trying to unravel about us, about me.

Lost in my contemplation, I found myself staring at my desk, oblivious to the activity around me. It was then that a hand materialized in front of my vision, holding a small bag. Startled, my gaze lifted to meet Sunwoo's face. There he stood, a warm smile on his lips, presenting me with a bag of chocolates.

My mouth parted slightly in surprise, my eyes drawn to the bag adorned with a delicate letter. The gesture caught me off guard, and I struggled to find my words. "For me?" I managed to stammer, my voice betraying a mix of astonishment and gratitude. Sunwoo's touch on my hand was gentle as he placed the bag into my open palm, a fleeting connection that sent a shiver of anticipation through me. At that moment, I could feel a gaze boring into the back of my head, and I knew instinctively that it was Jungwon observing the scene unfold.

"Yes, for you," Sunwoo affirmed, his grin widening as he nodded affirmatively. With a parting glance, he released my hand and made his way back to his desk, leaving me in a state of bewildered shock.

Fingers trembling with anticipation, I carefully untied the bag's knot and peered inside. To my delight, my favorite chocolates greeted me, nestled within the confines of the bag. Casting a quick glance toward Sunwoo, his eyes met mine, and he offered a simple, reassuring smile. Overwhelmed by the unexpected gesture, I averted my gaze and gingerly tucked the bag of chocolates into the safety of my backpack, cherishing the sweet surprise that had brightened my day.

Finally, the bell rang, signaling the start of the class. Our teacher, Ms. Lee, walked in and began her lecture. I tried my best to focus on the lesson, but my mind kept wandering back to Jungwon's unexpected actions. The way he kissed me unexpectedly was something I could brush off.

As the class went on, I couldn't help but steal glances at Jungwon. He seemed to be back to his usual self, participating in class discussions and taking notes diligently. It was as if nothing out of the ordinary had happened. But I knew there was something more to it, something he was keeping to himself.

As the class drew to a close, the students began gathering their belongings, signaling the end of another school day. Anticipation surged through me as I waited for Jungwon at our usual meeting spot outside the classroom. When he finally emerged, my curiosity got the better of me, and I mustered the courage to speak up.

"Jungwon..." I began, but he walked past me without a glance, joining his group of friends. My voice trailed off, disappointment etched on my face as I watched him ignore my presence. Frowning, I was about to let out a sigh when my vision was suddenly obstructed. Standing before me was a boy with glasses and fluffy hair, someone I occasionally spotted in the hallways but had never spoken to.

"Please accept these!" he exclaimed, bowing slightly as he presented a heart-shaped box of chocolates. Surprise washed over me as I accepted the gift, murmuring a grateful "Thank you" as he sheepishly scurried away. Overwhelmed by the unexpected attention, I couldn't help but let out a sigh.

As I made my way through the corridors, various boys approached me, offering chocolates, roses, and teddy bears. The gifts kept coming, and I was soon laden with tokens of affection. Eventually, I reached the locker room, where I deposited the array of presents inside my locker with a heavy sigh. Just then, Hanni rushed over to me, enveloping me in a tight hug. I smiled and returned the embrace.

"I got you something," she cooed, holding out a large teddy bear and playfully tossing it to me. I stumbled backward, catching the oversized bear with a laugh, its softness filling my arms.

"Thanks, Hanni. I have something for you too," I said, reaching into my backpack. After a moment of searching and a few near-misses with the wrong gifts, I finally retrieved it. Handing it to Hanni, her eyes lit up, and she pulled me into an emotional hug, barely holding back her tears. I chuckled at her heartfelt reaction, appreciating her genuine display of affection. It was a note we had both made on Valentine's Day years ago, a token of our lasting friendship and shared memories.

"Yoon, I didn't know you still had it..." she pouted, looking at the letter through happy tears. I chuckled again, giving her a gentle pat on the back.

"Of course, it's special," I replied with a warm smile, cherishing the bond we had formed over the years.
