We continued walking in silence, the weight of our unspoken thoughts pervading the air around us. Lost in my own reverie, I looked up at Jungwon, contemplating something that had been on my mind for a while now. Throughout the day, we had both been distant from each other, barely exchanging a word. But now, Jungwon's demeanor had drastically changed and he seemed to be in a much better mood.

Suddenly, Jungwon turned his head and caught my gaze, holding it for a few seconds. "What dummy?" he said, his voice laced with a hint of amusement. His question snapped me out of my daze, and I realized that he was now looking at me with a kind and gentle expression. As if to punctuate his newfound amicability, Jungwon reached out and playfully ruffled my hair.

I approached Jungwon with a hesitant expression, my voice laced with concern as I questioned him, "Jungwon, why were you upset with me?" He stopped in his tracks and turned to face me, his expression unreadable. We were on a bridge suspended over a shimmering pond, the sound of water rippling below us. I stood in front of him, waiting for his response. As I waited for him to speak, my mind went back to the conversation I had with Sunwoo earlier, wondering if it could be the reason for his sudden change in demeanor. However, before I could finish my sentence, my words trailed off, and my eyes widened in realization of something that I had not considered before.

-

"It's simple. It's because it's a mutual connection. In other terms, true love."
Sunwoo stated.

-

I found myself lost in thought, reliving the moment that had just passed between Jungwon and me. As I looked down at our feet, I couldn't help but mutter under my breath, "The kiss." To my surprise, Jungwon heard me.

When I looked up at him, he was avoiding eye contact, seemingly trying to hide his face from me. As more thoughts raced through my mind, I began to piece together what had happened. Was it possible that Jungwon had wanted the kiss between us to be real? If that were true...

Before I could finish my thought, Jungwon interrupted me by pulling me into a warm embrace. My eyes widened in surprise as his arms wrapped around me in a comforting hug. I could feel the tension in my body slowly dissipating as I relaxed in his embrace.

Whispering in my ear, Jungwon apologized for getting angry with me earlier. "I'm sorry, Yoonie," he said as his head rested against my shoulder. His words and the warmth of his embrace made everything feel right again.
I was yet to hug him out of shock as I heard his truly passionate words filled with remorse. "It's your feelings and I should've accepted it." Jungwon continued with a shaky sigh.

As I leaned in closer to him, my hands instinctively moved up to his face, caressing it gently. It felt as though my body was moving on its own, as though I was powerless to resist the pull towards him. And then, before I knew it, our lips were connected, locked in a passionate kiss.

At first, he seemed frozen, as though he couldn't quite believe what was happening. But then, he melted into the kiss, his body responding to mine in a way that sent shivers down my spine. My hands traveled around his neck, pulling him closer, as the intensity of the kiss grew.

We stayed like that for what felt like an eternity, even if it was less than twenty seconds, we were both lost in the moment, lost in each other. His arms stayed firmly around my waist, holding me close, as we explored each other's lips with an intensity that left us breathless. And then, finally, we parted, gasping for air, our eyes meeting in a shared moment of understanding.

We caught our breath, our hearts pounding in our chests, as we looked into each other's eyes, trying to make sense of what had just happened. It was as though we had been transported to another world, a world where nothing else mattered except the two of us, locked in a passionate embrace.

As I gazed at him in his human form, I couldn't help but remark, "You didn't change." I stated.

Jungwon's voice caught me off guard as he suddenly spoke up, his eyes fixed on mine. The words that followed, "I like you Yoonie," sent a warm rush of blood to my cheeks. The air around us seemed to still as I struggled to find the right response to what felt like a pivotal moment in our relationship.

As I looked into Jungwon's eyes, I felt my heart race. I hadn't realized I'd been crushing on him for so long, and now he was standing in front of me, confessing his feelings. I couldn't believe it. I felt my mouth gape open a bit as I tried to find the right words to say.

After a moment, I managed to stammer out, "I- I like you too." As soon as the words left my mouth, I felt a wave of relief wash over me. He smiled widely, and I couldn't help but feel my heart flutter.

We stood there for a moment, just looking at each other before Jungwon took a step closer and wrapped his arms around me. I felt a shiver run down my spine as he pulled me into his embrace. He shook me playfully from side to side, and I couldn't help but giggle. It felt like the happiest moment of my life.

"Jungwonnn," I cooed, feeling a warmth spread through my body.

"Ji-yoon," he replied seriously, pausing for a moment to look deep into my eyes. I held his gaze, silently urging him to continue.

Jungwon's gentle voice swept through the air as he posed the question, "Can I be your boyfriend?" Echoes of the past, of all the moments we had shared together, surged through my mind. The realization struck me that I had always been in love with him. A shy smile crept up my face as I nodded, accepting his proposal, and his expression lit up with pure joy.

As he wrapped his arms around me, I felt his warm breath on my skin. Slowly, he pulled me closer until our lips met, and the world around us seemed to fade away. In that moment, we shared a perfect memory, full of passion and harmony.

After a while, we pulled away and simply looked into each other's eyes, lost in the blissful moment. He seemed a little shy, and I could feel him tucking his face into the crook of my neck.

I couldn't help but laugh softly, and I rubbed his hair with a gentle touch, savoring the closeness and the sweetness of the moment.

He hummed into my neck at the nice feeling, almost like a purr. A soft chuckle escaped my lips before I pulled him off me. He looked sleepy but once I retracted my hand he suddenly seemed more awake yet disappointed. He pouted unintentionally.

"Let's go home," I stated and he nodded in reply. We walked in a comfortable silence, holding each other's hands as we walked to the apartment.
