As the snowflakes fell gently from the sky, I stepped out of the cozy café, my breath visible in the chilly air. Clutching my phone tightly, I read the text message I had received moments ago, informing me that the custom rings I had ordered were finally ready for pickup at the nearby store. Excitement filled my heart as I embarked on the short journey through the snow-covered streets.

With each step, my anticipation grew. The store was just a few blocks away, but the winter scenery made the walk feel magical. The crisp air kissed my cheeks, and I could hear the faint sound of children's laughter as they played in the snow nearby. The city was alive with the muffled sounds of passing cars and the distant chatter of pedestrians.

Finally, I reached the store and pushed open the door, feeling a rush of warmth envelop me. As I entered, my eyes met with the employee who had been assisting me throughout the customization process. She wore a friendly smile and greeted me with a nod. Returning the smile, I bowed my head respectfully and made my way over to her.

"Here's your rings," the woman said, her voice filled with a hint of excitement. "Please tell me if you like them. If you don't, I will make another pair for you, or you can exchange them for any ring here."

With a sense of anticipation, I nodded appreciatively as she handed me a small gift bag adorned with a delicate bow. Carefully, I untied the ribbon and opened the bag, revealing a beautiful ring case nestled within. Opening the case, my eyes widened with delight as I beheld the two rings before me. Each one bore the elegantly engraved initials "J+J" and featured a half-heart design so if you placed the rings next to each other it would create a full heart. I couldn't help but smile at the thoughtful craftsmanship.

"They're perfect," I exclaimed, my voice filled with genuine joy. "I love them! Thank you so much!"

The employee's face lit up with satisfaction and she returned my smile. It was evident that she took pride in her work, and seeing the happiness on my face brought her a sense of accomplishment.

"It was my pleasure," she replied warmly. "I'm glad you're happy with them. If you need anything else or have any concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out."

Expressing my gratitude once more, I bid farewell and left the store, the gift bag safely tucked under my arm. As I walked back through the snowy streets, I couldn't help but admire the rings in my hand. The thoughtfulness and attention to detail that went into creating them made them even more special.

With each step, my excitement grew, and I couldn't wait to surprise Jungwon with the beautiful rings that now held so much meaning.

After leaving the ring store, I made my way to the bustling market, the vibrant atmosphere instantly engulfing me. With a skip in my step, I headed straight for the birthday section, eager to gather all the necessary decorations for the upcoming celebration. I carefully selected birthday horns, mini confetti cannons, colorful balloons, and a banner that cheerfully exclaimed, "Happy Birthday!" I couldn't help but smile, proud of the festive items I had chosen.

With the decorations secured in my basket, my attention turned to the cake section. I perused the various options, my eyes scanning over the different flavors and designs. However, one particular cake caught my eye—a simple vanilla cake adorned with a generous assortment of luscious strawberries on top. It reminded me of a conversation I had with Jungwon, who had once mentioned that the best cakes were often the basic ones with fruit toppings. Grinning at the memory, I approached the employee behind the counter and requested that specific cake.

The employee nodded, understanding my choice, and swiftly retrieved the cake from the showcase. With a small bow, she handed it to me, and I reciprocated the gesture while expressing my gratitude. Placing the cake carefully into my cart, I turned my attention to the nearby cookie display. Spotting a tray of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, I couldn't resist adding them to my growing collection of treats.

As I made my way through the aisles, I decided to stock up on snacks as well. I grabbed bags of chips from the chip section, selecting an assortment of flavors to cater to everyone's preferences. My cart was now brimming with goodies, and I felt a sense of satisfaction knowing that the celebration would be filled with delicious treats.

With my shopping complete, I headed towards the self-checkout counters. As I scanned each item and placed them into bags, I couldn't help but notice the grand total displayed on the screen—$60. A hint of disappointment flickered across my face, knowing that I would be dipping into my allowance for this shopping spree. However, my excitement for the upcoming birthday celebration outweighed any concerns about the cost. I confidently swiped my card, relieved when it was approved, and gathered the bags, ready to make my way out of the store.

Carrying the weight of the bags, I stepped outside into the cool air, feeling a sense of accomplishment. The snowflakes continued to fall gently around me as I made my way home, eagerly anticipating the joy and laughter that awaited the birthday celebration.
