Ch 4 | The Trigger

"Luckily for you, I'm patient,"
Jenna Raine

Y/n's Perspective

Fifth Year

"That's barbaric!" I shouted inside that Undercroft.

My face increasingly heated the entire time inside that dungeon. I couldn't even blame the temperature. We were underground and it was cold.

"Positively, I think it's a great plan." Sebastian rose a finger.

I walked back and forth, debating whether to believe Sebastian Sallow's convincing schemes on this plan.

Sebastian has somehow always been good at manipulating a motive. Ever since meeting him, I don't think I've ever declined a decision and it must've been his choice of words. They were good.

"Besides, we aren't far. We already hang out all the time." He added.

"Yeah, to battle out evil enemies and risk our lives!" I reminded.

"But the people don't know that. They just think we sneak off out of school bounds for...other particular reasons." Sebastian winked.

Again, I flushed, being oblivious as hell.

"What other reasons?"

Sebastian smirked, staring down at me, "Oh, you Hufflepuffs, always so insensible."

I rolled my eyes with a huff.

"A few of the lads think I'm snogging up the new fifth year."

I gasped, "What?"

Sebastian chuckled, "Relax. As I mentioned, it is just a speculation from the other fifth years, which can help this...plan. You know?"

I stood there, arms crossed, wand still in hand as I tried to not overthink the potential future between Sebastian Sallow and I after this.

"What's on your mind, Y/n?" Sebastian sighed along, crossing his arms and taking steps near me.

Sometimes, I forget how tall Sebastian Sallow seemed to be near me. We were always on our backs when we were close in battles, but I haven't actually faced him in a way where I had to look up.

I bit my inner lip, wanting to hide my intrusive thoughts, and gulped.

"Nothing. It's quite a hard process to accept this whole, 'let's pretend we are together to make the people we fancy jealous'...what if it doesn't work?" I panicked.
