In the midst of the gathering, little Ayla kindly offered to help Emir with the coffee spill on his shoes. She suggested, "Emir bey, let me guide you to the washroom to clean this."

Emir nodded with a gracious smile and followed Ayla to the washroom. Inside, he proceeded to clean the coffee stain from his shoes, but just as he attempted to unlock the door to exit, it became stuck. Emir called out, "Hey, anybody out there?" and patted on the door.

Ayla was about to assist him when Reyhan, with a mischievous grin, intervened. "Hey, stop. Let him enjoy it there for a bit."

Ayla, a bit concerned, responded, "Reyhan abla, he must be panicking."

Reyhan assured her, saying, "Don't worry; I'm here, and I'll manage."

Inside the washroom, Emir paced nervously, calling out for help, but to no avail. Just when he was starting to feel a bit anxious, Reyhan managed to unlock the door, and Emir quickly opened it. In the process, Reyhan, who was standing near the door, lost her balance and was about to fall. Emir instinctively held her waist to support her. Their eyes met briefly, and a moment of tension hung in the air.

They quickly moved away from each other, and Reyhan, with a hint of indignation, said, "How could you touch me?"

Emir, with a hint of amusement in his voice, replied, "Madam, you locked me inside."

Reyhan hesitated and said, "I didn't lock the door; it was stuck."

Emir chuckled and teased her, "Miss, I'm thoroughly enjoying your little games."

Reyhan decided it was best to move on and said, "Let's go outside; everybody will be waiting."

With that, Reyhan exited the room, avoiding further conversation with Emir. Emir couldn't help but smile and chuckle at Reyhan's innocent yet playful demeanor, recognizing that there was more to this intriguing girl than he initially thought.

The family and guests were gathered in the living room, a sense of warmth and anticipation filling the air. Ahmet, the head of the Polat family, spoke with a contented smile, "This alliance will bring a lot of happiness for us. Also, my elder daughter, Reyhan, is already engaged."

Reyhan smiled at her father's mention. But Emir's expression began to change as he absorbed the news that Reyhan was already committed to someone else.

Cansu, Can's mother, chimed in, "Yes, but Can is the boy in the family, so we want Reyhan to get married first."

Emir's face tensed further upon hearing this, his unease growing with each passing moment. Cansu continued, "That's why, Mrs. Tarhun, we would like Can and Zara to get engaged before Reyhan's wedding. What are your thoughts on this?"

Zehra, Emir's mother, realized that the family had already made their decision, and her opinion wouldn't change it. She replied with a resigned tone, "Now, whatever I say doesn't matter. If you all agree, then I have no objections."

A sense of relief and happiness swept through the room as the families united in their support of Can and Zara's engagement. The joy of their alliance became the focal point, casting aside the tension that had briefly clouded the atmosphere.

As Emir and his mother, Zehra, returned home, the atmosphere was filled with a sense of anticipation and excitement. Zara, Emir's younger sister, approached them with eager curiosity, asking, "What happened, Mom? Abi, did everything go well?"

Emir couldn't hide his smile as he replied, "Yes, my little sister, everything went well. Your engagement has been finalized."

Zara's eyes lit up with joy, and she couldn't contain her happiness. She hugged Emir tightly, exclaiming, "Thank you, thank you so much, abi... you're the best abi in the world."
