Don't be near Mark/ Markhyuck

Part 18

Obviously, the three of them arrive quite late at the party. Chenle and Jisung haven't stopped bickering, while Donghyuck tried to act as a referee. On the way, the three of them got distracted by a group of ducks. They stayed there for several long minutes, watching them.

In the end, they arrive around 10:30 pm. Chenle and Jisung stick close to Donghyuck, exploring this new environment a bit. But as soon as they enter, he loses sight of them. The two make their way to the kitchen. Donghyuck catches Jaemin's gaze, recognizing the shorts and sweater he had seen in a photo earlier.

Donghyuck sometimes feels like he's Jaemin's reflection. He wears a similar outfit, but Jaemin has Mark's sweater on, and Donghyuck have Jeno's. But in Donghyuck's eyes, Jaemin is infinitely more beautiful than him. He has never seen a face like his; he could have loved him, but the two just get along as friends.

"Why did you bring chip and Dale?" Jaemin asks. "They're underage."

"They have the right to have fun," Donghyuck mutters. "And where's your Prince Charming? Oh, maybe flirting with another guy?"

Donghyuck doesn't feel like being nice to Jaemin today. Both roll their eyes before parting ways. Jaemin returns to Mark, snuggling into his arms. The latter doesn't seem bothered by the action.

Mark doesn't even give Donghyuck a glance, seemingly focused on a game of beer pong. Donghyuck quickly recognizes the person he's playing against and a smile appears on his lips. He slips among the people and quickly finds himself next to Jaehyun.

He waits for the other to throw his ball, then gently tugs at Jaehyun's sleeve, wanting to appear cute in front of him.

And it works. Jaehyun turns around and bites his lower lip, noticing the younger one. He wraps an arm around Donghyuck's waist and pulls him a little closer.

Donghyuck notices that Jaehyun has probably had quite a bit to drink, but he still seems aware. The two move away from the table, and Donghyuck tiptoes to whisper in the other's ear.

"Hyung," he speaks with a sweet voice, "how can you be even more beautiful than in my memories?"

Jaehyun tilts his head back slightly, looking at Donghyuck with eyes filled with desire. He scans Donghyuck from top to bottom and places his hands on the other's hips.

"Damn," Jaehyun sighs. "You can't even imagine all the things I want to do to your body."

"Enlighten me," Donghyuck murmurs.

Donghyuck kisses Jaehyun's cheek, and the two stay like that, talking for some time. Johnny watches from a distance and turns to Jeno.

"I think I need a drink," Johnny says, not believing what he sees.

Jeno laughs, seeing his brother uncomfortable with the situation. He takes advantage of his brother being gone to leave several kisses on his girlfriend's neck.

After some time and a few drinks, Donghyuck gets tired of just sitting with Jaehyun. The other has his arm around his shoulders, laughing with his friends. Donghyuck laughs a bit foolishly, his understanding of English diminishing after a certain number of drinks.

He has totally forgotten that he promised Jisung to look after Chenle.

"Angel, how old are you?" Jaehyun asks, kissing the younger one's cheek.

"I'm 19," Donghyuck sighs.

He sees Jaehyun's smile appearing, probably happy that the other is of legal age.

"Can you make me a drink, and then we'll sneak away," Jaehyun says, holding the other firmly by the hips.

Donghyuck quickly nods and detaches himself from the other to go to the kitchen. On the way, he sees Jaemin and Mark kissing in a corner, and it's sad to say, but for a moment, Donghyuck could think they're together.
