"You're not angry at me ?" Donghyuck asked timidly, looking at the boy in front of him. The other sighed but didn't add anything.
"I can't blame you for your feelings, Hyuck," Jeno said. "If you have feelings for Mark, figure it out, but be careful where it leads you. You saw how Jaemin ended up."
Donghyuck raised his eyes. He isn't like Jaemin. He would never have an obsession like him. He knows when to stop loving someone and not force things with the other person. In fact, it's been two days since Donghyuck hasn't responded to Jaemin.
He just wanted to respond with an insult, so he preferred to say nothing.
"You should talk to Mark," Jeno said finally. "It's no use asking us for advice. No one knows what's going on inside his head."
"I know, but I'm afraid to confront him," Donghyuck sighed. "I'll talk to him maybe on Saturday."
Saturday, when we're both going to be shot at, Donghyuck thought. He went back to training and, as promised, Mark didn't help him.
Donghyuck thought he was very vindictive. He asked for help from other people training at the same time as him. They all asked him what the tempter was doing in the gym.
Donghyuck had to explain the situation and they all thought it was weird. Mark went to his shooting practice, knowing that Donghyuck would never come there. He didn't want to run into the other, or else Mark knew he would get angry again or be unpleasant to Donghyuck.
Donghyuck is now at Jeno's house and telling him what could have happened between them. Jeno hasn't said anything about the fact that it's with Mark. If Donghyuck has a crush on his brother, he can't do anything about it.
At least maybe Donghyuck could finally settle down with someone? Jeno thinks it could be a good thing for the other.
"I went to buy the bracelet I broke," Donghyuck finally said. "But I don't know how to give it back to him. I'm afraid he's still angry."
Jeno scratched the back of his head, thinking about what he could do. It's true that Mark is not easy, but if he likes Donghyuck, Jeno knows he will forgive him easily.
"You should go see him and give it to him yourself," Jeno said. "I think he'll listen."
Donghyuck seems hesitant. He looks at the bracelet he's holding in his hand. Luckily, Jayden just paid him, so he can buy it. But he doesn't regret putting so much money into it. It's him that broke it on his own.
"Mark told me about what happened between you two," Donghyuck said.
Jeno tensed a little and bit his lip. He didn't want Donghyuck to know that. He's really not proud of what he did. Donghyuck sees that Jeno has a guilty look on his face.
Mark didn't really make anything up. Donghyuck is still shocked at what the other did.
"I was stupid," Jeno said. "I shouldn't have done all that, but I was afraid that the others would prefer him to me, and I don't even know what was going through my head. I just wanted to put him down."
Jeno brushed his hair back. He sees Jeno's eyes glisten.
"But when we had to go pick him up from the hospital, I felt bad," Jeno said. "I realized that it had gotten too big and I was disappointed to have caused all this. After that, I wanted us to try to be friends, but he got revenge and I understand him deep down."
"But now you've both grown up," Donghyuck said. "Don't you want to try being friends?"
"I don't know," Jeno replied. "It's complicated between us and it often happens that we argue and it comes to fight quickly, but it will get better little by little, I hope."
