Petals of Stars (Ruby x Flower)

~Flower POV~

I thought it was a nice day for a walk in the park, and I was right!

The trees are a nice shade of green, the sun is out with very few clouds, and it's not too noisy!

I continue to walk along the sidewalk when I get a text from my phone in my pocket. It's from...Ruby?

Hey Flower! I bet I

Look to your left!

I look up from my phone and to my left to see, Ruby! At the Pond? I see her waving at me with a smile on her face as the sun reflects off of her. She is like one big ball of sunshine. (haha, ONE)

I walk over to her with a surprised look on my face.

"How did you know I would be here? Are you stalking me again?" She also stalked me for a day to make sure my surprise party wouldn't be ruined, and she succeeded.

"Oh Flower. I haven't stalked you since last week! Uh...I mean, I just came here to the park because it was nice out, and I saw you. Surprise!"

I am going to pretend I didn't hear the fact that she stalked me last week.

"Well, now that we are here, um" Flower this is getting awkward, say something! "Do you want to walk together?" Good save.

"Sure bestie!" I am glad she sees me as her best friend. She needs someone to be with her, she hates getting lonely. (Flower had a big personality change in post-split Bfb am I right?)

We walk hand in hand together around the park. I find it cute that she likes to hold my hand.

We stopped at the playground by the park so she can slide and swing. She also begged for me to take pictures. I agreed since I secretly wanted to.

A large amount of time passes, and we find ourselves sitting on a bench under the stars.

"Flower," Ruby starts talking, "is it normal that I see us as more than friends?"

I can tell she is getting nervous, which worries me. So I try to comfort her as much as I can.

"Ruby, of course it is normal. Being more than friends is a good thing, no, a great thing in fact!"

"Really?" Her eyes sparkle under the moonlight.

"Yeah! We can be, girlfriends, if that's okay!"

Ruby giggles to herself, "Yay we are girlfriends!"

I smile at her, with all the love I can. We continue to sit under the stars until she slowly falls asleep against my arm.

I let her, after all...

We are girlfriends now.
