(Requested) Shades of Pink (Reader x Paint Monster AIB)

I had to go for a walk in the forest today.

It's...important.

They told me that they would be in the forest as well, so that way we could meet again. I was hesitant at first because when we first saw each other on a dating app, we met in a restaurant and they almost ending up breaking a window to try and steal a free meal.

To sum it up, they were aggressive, but who wouldn't be when they've been dumped three times and put themselves in a paint bucket for months.

I continue to walk around trying to find a neon pink blob that looks like them.

"Ugh, PM where on earth could you be!" I call them PM as a nickname. Paint Monster also seemed to like it, so that's something.

Suddenly, I hear the sound of leaves moving to my right. Maybe it's PM?

I was about to continue walking, but as soon as I took that first step, I could've sworn I heard someth-

" BOO! HEY N/A!!" Paint Monster jumps out at me from behind a tree...and it scares me half to blacking out!

" AAH! PM, YOU SCARED ME SO-,so-"

"Woah, no need to loose all of your air N/A."

PM comes into a better view to make sure I don't collapse of the floor. Honestly I have never seen PM care for anyone, except for someone named Oodle from years ago.

I was able to decode something from their profile about it, but I won't tell PM until later.

After we get caught up, Paint Monster tells me something.

"So N/A, I found something cool out here...do you want to see?" Paint Monster asks me with a sly face.

"Sure! That's the whole point right?" I could have sworn PM turned a new shade of pink around the face, but that's probably just me.

We walk around the forest, past all of the nature around us.

I can't help but notice the light reflecting off of PM.  They looks like they're getting...nicer? Somehow it makes sense, but I hope they aren't  getting gullible.

I still like their 'disobedient' attitude sometimes.

We continue to walk in the forest, for a while.

"PM, don't tell me you got lost..." I say as if it's obvious.

"No no no! It's close, I swear."

"If you say so." I guess we have to continue walking, and it is annoying. But, I'm glad I get to walk with Paint Monster.

SOMEONE!... I meant at least I get to walk with someone.

"Here!" Paint Monster points at a tree, so I look at him confused.

"PM, this is a tree."

"Past the tree. Just come on!"

I walk behind them past the tree,

To see...

A Flower field?

I look in awe at the wide arrange of flowers. Red, yellow, pink, orange, and green? That's rare. There is also a wide circle of trees around it so the sun shines through like a big hole in the forest.

"Paint Monster...this is-"

"I know it's not what you expected, or what I normally do, but I wanted to do something nice for once. I know I acted like a jerk back at the restaurant a couple days ago...so I wanted to make up for it. For you, N/A."

PM sits down in the flowers, and looks at me like he gestures me to sit next to them, so I do.

I take a deep breath, and just embrace the time I have with PM, just us.

"Thank you, Paint Monster."

OMGAH, this is probably my longest Oneshot yet! It certainly took a while, but it was worth it! Sorry I made this so late, I had plans for the day that I completely forgot about!
