Your soft, pink lips take my breath

Leaving me gasping for your life giving air
Your soft embrace pulls my strings, stitching me
Up, Up,

Pulling my piece together one by one
You have saved me, grabbed my hands and brought me to my feet, settling me on the sturdy ground
You loved my demons despite the gore they've caused
Holding them in your gentle arms as they threatened to take me
You played with my inner child, letting him run free
Healing him
Letting him live the childhood he never had
You kissed my scars and scrapes despite the jagged skin or the sticky metallic blood that stains your lips
Sharing the pain that flow from me
You taught me how to love the world
You brought color back to my life, painting a pastel picture
Calm and serene
You showed me how to be kind
You taught me how to collect my angery, my negativity and sit with it, feel it, and put it towards something productive
You helped me grow and become the man I am today
Never judging my past
Allowing It to shape me
I owe it all to you
