I hope you take my hands
As we stumble over our feelings
Say "I do"
You and I officially one and the same
I hope you'll be kind enough to spare me your last name
Let me sleuth through the night
And steal your heart in the glow of the moonI hope my baby has your eyes
Teal with little freckles of brown
With thick feathery lashes
Grazing their eyebrows
I hope they have your kind hands
Reaching out to everyone who needs a hand
Straightening their crown
Reminding them of their worth
Holding them downI hope our skin beings to wrinkle
As we watch the other grow old
Tell the stories of our lives to our grandchildren
They'll talk about our love for generations to come
Stories of true love and happiness thriving in our home
