Again and again, you tell the world you love her
Post after post explaining your love for her
Saying the same things over and over
I believe you, of course, because why would you lie?
You have no reason to
At the same time, who are you trying to prove it to?
Them or you?
But has he seen the real you?
Has he seen the way you break?
How you begin to char while the room around you is licked by flames
The way your eyes darken as you scream, cursing the world?
Your pupils indistinguishable from all the pain
Has he seen your eyes lighten as he holds your face and your eyes meet
Honeycomb dripping with honey
Softening once you realize your sage
Has he seen the way your tears fall, but your breathing deepens?
The weight on your chest lifting as you come to understand you no longer have to be strong and carry the weight by yourself
Has he seen the way the storm courses and passes through you
Hurricanes causing chaos all around
Has he helped you pick up the pieces that the tornados have scattered about
