"That was close." Jackson over the campfire they made after they escaped the collapsed rubble. In the woods since it was dark and were still around in Mount Wu. "Luckily, I found you in time after gyrfalcon found you." Jackson explained as he pulled Xiao Fang's hands together then pulled out a ointment jar and applied on her scratches. "Otherwise, I couldn't find you after the mountain collapsed." Feng Lanxi continued with his explanation while Xiao Feng looked up to safe at him.

"hēi hēi húli why did you come all the way here disobeying an order?" Xiao Feng asked as she winced a bit as he applied pressure onto the wound. "If I didn't come, you would end up at the bottom of the mountain." Feng Lanxi responded knowing that here in Valindria he was as equal as her since he was prince of Yongzhou.

"But with your skills, how did you end up in the valley?" Feng Lanxi asked confused how she got there. "I must've gotten careless or someone else was just behind me or a few steps away, that when they noticed my presence they consider me a threat to the skills trying to get rid of me." Xiao Feng inferred from what happened.

"I came across the cave maze set up by Old Taiyin. I didn't expect there'd be an earthquake after parting ways with Huang Chao." Xiao Feng explained as Lanxi looked to see Xiao Feng recalling what she experienced. "So you don't know the cause or suspect someone else at play who might've caused this mess." Lanxi questioned as he let go her hand and played with the firewood. Xiao Feng curled her hand back and stared at him knowing he didn't believe her.

Or was jealous at the fact she spent days traveling with Huang Chao at some point. "Mount Wu is shrouded in mist." Xiao Feng teased poking that little side of annoyance he found of him. "It's naturally better to have company don't you think?" Xiao Feng asked while around the mountain while she felt his gaze briefly on her.

"Since I'm here, I'll take care of you." Lanxi said sarcastically as moved around his seat and made himself comfortable. "Get some proper rest." Lanxi said proudly trying to provide the best service. "Tomorrow, I'd like to see how great old Taiyin is." Lanxi boasted wanting to test his skills.

Xiao Feng was going to say a remark when her stomach interrupted her and Lanxi stared at her trying not to laugh at her. "Try my cooking." Lanxi said offered chuckling after Xiao Feng tried masking it off by blowing the fire to make the pheasant roast faster. Xiao Feng was about to grab the stick where the pheasant was when she burned herself. Immediately Lanxi rescued her hand with his free hand and looked t her new injured hand.

He blew on her hand to make it feel better then look at her sternly. "Why are you so carless?" Lanxi asked as Xiao Feng looked up at him with her big doe eyes. Lanxi then caressed her hand soothing her slight burn as he looked down to their slightly intertwined hands. "Let me do it" Lanxi said after sighing then tearing off a piece of legs of the pheasant and giving it to her.

Xiao Feng smiled and grabbed and took a big bite since she was hungry. "Mmm..." Xiao Feng chewed on the chicken leg savoring the flavor in her mouth and taking another bite before speaking. "hēi hēi húli, it's a pity if you don't open a restaurant with this cooking skill." Xiao Feng pointed with her almost done eaten drumstick at him with food still in her mouth.

"Not everyone is fortune as you." Lanxi said as he added wood to the firewood to keep it burning. "Why aren't you eating?" Xiao Feng asked after taking another bite of her food. "I'm not hungry." Lanxi turned the pheasant over in the fire. Xiao Feng searched in her hanfu's pocket then cleaned a small red fruit over and over on her sleeve. While they were hunting down the pheasant after they got the ruble.

"I picked this myself." Xiao Feng leaned over and showed Lanxi giving it to him. "This is the only one in this deep mountain." Xiao Feng encouraged Lanxi to take it and Lanxi stared at her as if she wanted to kill him yet calm. "Just keep it for yourself." Lanxi declined wanting to be safe since he didn't know what that fruit was. "I want you to try it." Xiao Feng insisted not caring since she knew pretty much about almost every herbs and plants in the wild due to her exploring and eating out.
