The Warrior Princess and The Pharaoh of the Millennium Puzzle

In order to Keep the Throne...

Atem took a deep breath and signed the paper then gave it to Shimon without even looking at it. Atem left the imperial chamber and went to his room out the balcony to breath. He placed his hands over the railings to support himself. "I'm sorry father..." Atem murmured. The guards in charged of handling the deaths of the other princes marched towards the harem. Morgana ran through the palace to the garden where she threw up. The kids where running around the harem where the girls where sitting there chatting. "Please take Amud and Sara to their room." Merida told a servant. "Take Meryem and Farrah to their room too." Another concubine said. "Yes take all the kids to take a bath so they can sleep." The eldest concubine told the servants. They were praying for the late pharaoh's soul when they heard the march of death nearing the harem. At first they thought it was the prince paying a visit but when they saw the black soldiers pass they panicked. "Amud...." Merida said as her tears brimmed in her eyes. The soldiers walked with various ropes with them ready to to their work. The women scrambled to go and protect their children. Merida grabbed onto her son and daughter once she was able to get there in time. Screams where heard as some mothers weren't able to get there in time. The women saw their daughters and sons slaughtered in front of them or either came after the guards left the room. There were left guarded by some guards then they where either hanged or choked by the own rope their kids where choked to death. Merida grabbed her children and tried running away but soon came up to where the eunuchs and guards were blocking the other exit of the hallway that led to the harem. "I demand you to let me through!" Merida yelled. They didn't budge at her efforts the kids hearing the steps getting closer they panicked. "Mother!" They both yelled in unison. "Don't worry I'm here." Merida fell on her knees and hugged her children to life. "Whatever happens I will always be here." Merida told her kids. She grabbed onto them harder as she saw the soldiers near them. The soldier in charged motioned for Merida to be pulled back from the children. "Noooo!!!!!!!" Merida yelled trying to hang on to her children. "Mommy!!!!!" The kids screamed as they where pulled away from their mother's grasped. Merida struggled to get free as the guards forced the kids to kneel. "Amud Sara!" Merida shouted for her kids as the guards force the kids to stay put as they placed the ropes on their necks. "Let me go leave my children go!!!!" Merida said sobbing. One of the guards grabbed a knife and stabbed Merida on the side of her stomach since she almost escaped their grasped. "Aaaaneeeee!!!!!!!!" The kids yelled as their mother was stabbed. The kids try struggling themselves free but it was in vain. The soldiers pulled on the ropes once they were on the children's neck and pulled. The kids struggled to get it off and at the same time they reached out to their mother. As their vision faded away they saw her mother tried fighting to get to them. The kids once they stopped moving they let them go with the rope still on their neck. Merida's vision was blurry as she tried reaching out to them. She managed to grab their hand and the soldier yanked her head up and slit her throat. Women in the harem screamed in horror as they saw they killed the only last surviving prince and princess along with their mother. The eunuchs tried pulling them back for their safety. "You got to help them!" One of the girls yelled. With tears in their eyes they shook their head. "It's by royal decree we can't do anything." Sümbül ağa said.
While the screams where heard over the kingdom Morgana had a panic attack and summoned her dagger and didn't let anyone near her. "Don't you dare touch me! I won't let you kill me and my son!!!" Morgana yelled. "My queen it's us we would never hurt your kid!" Aya yelled concerned. Morgana screams where totally horrifying along those with the women being assassinated along with their children. "I won't let anyone do this to me like they did to my brother's and sisters!" Morgana yelled. Meanwhile Atem was covering his ears trying to stop the screams. He was on his balcony crying while covering his ears. He looked out the balcony to see Morgana crying and screaming as she pointed the dagger to everyone neared her. "I won't let you!!!!!" Morgana yelled controlled over by sadness, grief, and memories. She never wanted Atem to sign the paper but was forced weeks ago by Aknadin who threaten to kill her child any moment. Atem got up and through the multiple screams heard over the kingdom he hurried and went towards his wife. Almost stumbling through he tried to get to his wife. "Morgana they won't hurt you they are your girls!" Atem yelled as he tried to get near but got slashed in the arm by Morgana's blade. "You.... you!!!!!!! Get away from me you killer you assassinated your family my family wasn't enough there is darkness in you!!!!" Morgana yelled as she hit him on the chest then pushed him away and pointed the dagger to him. "You killed your brothers and sisters too!!!!" Atem was advancing to Morgana as she backed away but was stopped by Seto and Mahad. "Noooo!!!!! I never gave the order it was Darkus my brother who gave the order to kill them!" Morgana yelled back. "It's true your majesty!" Alexa yelled. "You killed your own nephew in order to stay in the throne!" Morgana froze and then screamed. "Noooo!!!!! She drank the poison that it was for me I didn't had anything to do with it!!!" Morgana yelled as she kept sobbing. "I would never lay a finger on a child!!!" Morgana cried. "Then why you allowed your brother come home with another woman and allowed him to harm his pregnant wife!" Atem yelled. "Wanted me to lose our child!" Morgana yelled back and Atem grew quiet. The last screams were heard and Morgana dropped down on the floor making her dagger disappear. She cried onto the ground feeling the pain the mothers felt. "I never wanted this to happen!" Morgana yelled while she looked at Atem. "Ahhhhh! Don't touch me!!!!!!" Morgana yelled at the girls. "Let me go now!" Atem ordered Seto and Mahad who reluctantly let go. Atem walked to Morgana who was curled up crying while stroking her belly to calm down. Atem kneeled in front of her and hugged her and Morgana let him. "They forced me to do it... they force me to make you sign..." Morgana whispered in his ears making his eyes widen. "Who?" Atem asked in a whisper. Morgana pulled away and screamed terrified as she saw Aknadin walk towards them after he talked to the head soldier that did those jobs. Atem tried calming her down but she struggled way to hard for him to handle her. Morgana scream sounded louder each step he took. Even birds startled flew away. Morgana collapsed of how drained she was and Atem caught her in time. "Morgana... Morgana!!!" Atem tried shaking her awake. Aya kneeled down and checked on her and the child. "She's Alright my pharaoh she just collapsed from all the emotions she's drained out of energy." Aya said as she wiped her tears. "Your majesty it is informed that everything is done as you wish..." Aknadin was interrupted by Atem. "I never wished it so stopped saying that!!!" Atem yelled as he hugged Morgana harder while crying. Aknadin stayed silent for a bit and cleared his throat. "What's her problem no one was going to touch her why was she screaming like she was being murdered?" Aknadin asked. Atem glared at him on how Aknadin acted like nothing happened. "She remembered when her brothers and sisters where murdered without her permission and freaked out thinking those soldiers would come and hurt her too." Zira said with venom in her voice. "She has the next heir to the throne no one will touch her." Aknadin retorted. "Aknadin shut up Karim bury my brothers and sisters in my father's tombs along with his wife's..." Atem said as he held Morgana's hand tightly. "Seto help me carry Morgana to her room." Atem ordered and Seto bowed before helping Atem carry Morgana. The girls ran after them and shielded their eyes as soon as the gurneys went out the harem with the dead şehzadesi and their mothers. "Azra girls go... and help our people move to other lands away from here." Aya said holding back her tears. The girls nodded and teleported away, they teleported to the village and alarmed all the Valindrian citizens who where still in the city.
Both Atem and Seto placed Morgana on her bed and Atem sat beside her. "Seto whatever happens to me if I'm not able to be around when my son arrives..." Atem was interrupted by Seto who grabbed his arm. "No your majesty nothing will happen to you and you'll be able to see your son grow up to be a strong man." Seto said with tears in his eyes. "Seto if anything happens I want you to protect them both and do not let anyone touch them protect them with your life." Atem pleaded as he stroke Morgana's hair. "As you wish my pharaoh." Seto bowed while crying. "I didn't have time to weep my father much now I have to lament my brother's and sisters death too..." Atem cried. Atem placed Morgana's head softly on the bed then left to see that they were carrying what was left of his family out to the infirmary to where they were going to be placed on coffins to take them to the temple to get ready for them to be taken to be buried. Atem followed the guards to the infirmary and looked at them while crying. He grabbed Amud's little hand and Atem gripped it. "Amud wake up little brother.... wake up!!!!" Atem yelled as he shook his brother. Atem fell on the ground feeling guilty of what he had to do in order to take the throne. It was unfair he never wanted this to happened he remembered when the other concubines of his father tried to get him poisoned one even ordered to place a snake in the garden. If it wasn't for Mahad he would've died. "I will find who ever ordered her to push that decree out to me and I'll fix this dumb law no more şehzadesi will be killed." Atem promised as he was in the floor crying. Mahad dragged Atem away from the bodies and Atem didn't even put resistance. He was so drained out of crying and yelling he felt he needed to rest but he also felt he needed to get into the bottom of this. Atem got up from being dragged and walked with a heavy heart to his room. He was sitting down on his bed with his head on his hands when someone knocked the door.  "Come in." Atem said barely audible. Shimon and Aknadin came in and bowed in front of Atem. "As tradition and by your father's will here's the millennium puzzle your highness." Shimon said as he held the puzzle in a pillow. Atem looked at it and touched it. He hesitated a bit to grab it but then he grabbed it in his hands and hanged it around his neck. "The first decision is always the hardest your highness in due time you'll get used to it." Aknadin said bowing. "Get out I want to be alone and un disturbed!" Atem stood yelling at them. They both bowed and left as soon as possible. (When Aknamkanon was young his mother faked Aknadin's death to their father so when Aknamkanon took the throne his brother wouldn't be executed. Aknadin was raised close by one of the priest of the older court. Aknamkanon always knew Aknadin was his brother and vice versa. They always kept it hidden as a promise to their mother. But no one knew the greatest traitor would be closer to them than they thought.) 
      Days went by and Atem grew colder any mistake done he would be almost at anyone's throat. Morgana grew weaker as the days came closer to her due date. She didn't even want to be near Atem so she sent concubines after concubines to distract him. Some would not even cross the door but those who did were scared to even go back to his room. Atem moved to his new room which was great for Morgana because that way she wouldn't have to face him. One day in the harem some of the consorts were talking about him and Morgana. "The crown prince is so cruel I heard he beat a concubine to death when she refused him." One of the girls mentioned. "I'm afraid I'll get picked tonight last time he hit me so hard I thought I would have died of blood loss." One girl exaggerated. One of the Kalfası came in and look around the harem till she spot the girl she was looking for. "You Catalina Hatun Come here the prince request your presence tonight go and get ready." Gretchen Kalfa ordered. The girl eyed the other girl and urge to distract the Kalfa. "Gretchen Kalfa look over there one of the eunuchs stole your money pouch!" The Kalfa angered ran to the eunuch and interrogated him. Catalina stuck her fingers down her throat and forced herself to vomit. "Aish girl why didn't you tell me you're sick!" Gretchen yelled. "Take her to the infirmary maybe she's pregnant." Sümbül ağa commented. The girl horrified was dragged to the infirmary and was check by the medic. "She only has a stomach ache she isn't pregnant." The medic announced as she cleaned her hands after examining Catalina. "Hmmph faking so you won't go to the soon to be king bedroom won't get you a crown!" Gretchen yelled. "Why doesn't he bother his queen for once he punishes us because of her fault." Catalina said exhausted. "You must be strong woman give a prince to your highness and you'll be closer to the throne!" Gretchen yelled. "I'll try later right now I need to rest." Catalina said as she pulled the covers over her head. Gretchen huffed angrily and went to Atem's bedroom. "Your majesty I'm afraid that Catalina has gotten sick of the stomach she was taken to the healers and she's not pregnant..." Atem turned around from the map he was staring at. "Bring me Morgana." Atem said as he gripped the knife over the map stabbing it on the table. Gretchen bowed quickly and hurriedly left to seek the queen. Morgana was walking around the palace to exercise a bit. Gretchen saw her and ran full speed and out of breath. "My queen your majesty request your presence he said he won't take no for an answer." Gretchen Kalfa exaggerated because she was scared if she returned without the queen. Morgana grabbed her belly in fear but sighed and walked with Gretchen. "Let's get you ready my queen." Gretchen offered but the girls pushed her out. The girls help Morgana get ready for Atem by putting a black dress. They accompanied her with Gretchen up to Atem's room. "Don't worry he won't do anything." Morgana silently wish her words were true. Gretchen ordered for the guards to open the doors to the room. Morgana was left alone as soon as she entered the room. Atem was facing his desk giving her a view of his back. "My pharaoh you wished to see me?" Morgana spoke boldly not letting any fear sleep through her. Atem turned around to see Morgana bowed down a bit since she didn't want to struggle on her way back up. Atem silently walked up to her and circled her like a predator does to his prey. Atem stopped in front of her and grabbed her by the chin. "I love when you call me that no one calls me that but you." Atem said as he gripped her chin harder. "You're the pharaoh now that's why should I call you by that name." Morgana responded. "I'm not even crowned yet but yes you're right there's no one in the kingdom to rule thanks to you." Morgana tried prying him off as he said it. "I wish you wouldn't be pregnant right now so I could punish you hard." Atem said as he brought her near him. "May I remind you that I'm pregnant with your son because of your fault." Morgana countered. "Yes..." Atem caressed Morgana's hair then forced a kiss on her. Morgana refused at first but then melted to the kiss. As soon as they parted Atem began roaming his hands through her body. Morgana try not to show her discomfort in front of him. Atem then grabbed her hand and pulled her with him to sit on the bed. Morgana sat down and looked at Atem with caution. "I missed you so much no matter who you send me I would always prefer you." Atem suddenly hugged her causing her to be surprised. "Please take this darkness away..." Atem pleaded as he cupped Morgana's face in his hands while tears fell down. "Yami...." Morgana touched his chiseled face and he rubbed his cheek on her hand while breaking down in front of her. Morgana hugged him wanting to help him but it was the puzzle and the prophecy undoing. "With you the darkness seems to go away but once I'm without you it seems to grow and take over." Atem confessed. Morgana pulled away and Atem stopped her by grabbing her arms and putting pressure on them. Morgana closed her eyes then leaned back to hug him and he let her arms go. Atem held on to Morgana carefully but tight to him.

Atem moved away from her the placed his head on her thighs as she started calming him down. She started singing the song she sang long time ago when they went out for a picnic. Atem slowly fell asleep as she sang and caressed his cheek. Atem didn't notice Morgana was crying the whole song. Once he was asleep she called the girls to help her move him into the bed. She then climbed into the bed next to him and the girls looked at her. "Get me my dress for tomorrow I'll sleep here for tonight." Morgana said and the girls shook their head furiously and tried getting her out the bed. "Enough he didn't do anything to me now leave me and my husband alone!" She whispered yell. The girls gave up and went to get her her pjs and her dress for tomorrow. Morgana changed and climbed to bed and before she pulled the covers on Aya touched her pregnant belly and chanted a spell. "This will protect your both from him in any case." Aya said worried. "You're a great friend but I'm fine." Morgana reassured. The girls reluctantly left her but still guarded outside any trouble. Morgana got comfortable on the bed and started to fell asleep when she heard Atem whimper. "No... father... I didn't mean it..." Atem cried. Morgana caressed his face and he calmed down. Morgana fell asleep as Atem hugged. As soon as he smelled her perfume he knew she was near so he hugged her while calming down.
