ALANA

Ares got me a house for our Anniversary. I got him a watch. He bought me a house. I feel bad about my gift.

But to be fair, watches are the only thing Ares is passionate about and collects like gems.

We came here two hours ago and we've been in the bedroom since. It's beautiful in here, everything is so well lit, the windows are huge.

I turn over onto my stomach, facing my husband who is laying down with his arm out. We are both spent. Ares smiles at me, leaning down to kiss me.

"What's on your mind baby." He asks, tucking my hair behind my ear. I snicker.

"How do you know somethings on my mind?" I ask, raising an eyebrow.

"I just know." he shrugs, his fingers caressing my cheek. I grin.

"I am thinking about how bad my gift is compared to yours." I pout. Ares chuckles.

"I don't care about my gift. You know that." he hums.

"Yes but, I like being the better gift giver, but it's hard because you never express your thoughts on wanting anything. And you have everything." I roll my eyes. "I could have gotten you a house." I huff.

"Baby I will love whatever it is you got me, I do not care how big or small." he husks.

"It's a watch." I tell him.

"The Girard-Perregaux Quasar?" He asks. I laugh at his widened eyes.

"Did I do good?!" I laugh loudly at his surprised expression. My husband is rarely surprised so I love seeing it.

"Baby you remembered something I said months ago, and it is not even out yet how did you get that?" he asks. I giggle.

"Mama's sales associate helped out. And ofcourse I remembered something you said you wanted, you rarely do." I grin, crawling up to kiss his lips.

"I think yours is better." he sighs, leaning in to kiss me again. I laugh.

"Nope yours is. But that's okay, we have many more anniversaries to compete on." I smile. "Let's go explore the house." I say excitedly, quickly getting off the big comfortable bed.

"You forgot clothes kitten." I hear Ares say as he pulls on his boxers.

"I saw robes in the bathroom." I say, quickly going to get them.

After we put on the fluffy white robes, Ares leads me out back, the back of the house being even more breathtaking.

"The area is miles from any other developments, so no one can look up here, and it's high enough on the hill that the safety is top notch

"The area is miles from any other developments, so no one can look up here, and it's high enough on the hill that the safety is top notch." Ares tells me. I smile at him.

"So, no cameras here?" I ask curiously.

"Not yet, but I am thinking of getting them anyway." He tells me. I nod, smiling.

"I love it so much Ares. I didn't even know this is what I wanted. But it looks right out of my-"

"That app on your phone." He smirks. "The one you are always saving pictures on." He husks, wrapping his arms around me, turning me so my back is to his front.

He's talking about Pinterest. I smile at his adorable self.

"You are the best husband honey, I hope you know that." I hum as his nose runs along my neck.

"Thankyou." he murmurs. "I packed us bags. There is a bikini in there, I'll get them from the car so you can swim." Ares says, holding me from behind kissing up my neck.

"I don't need a bikini to swim." I say, my voice low and teasing as I turn around to face him, slowly undoing my robe.

"Alana." He says seriously, his eyes darkening as he watches me slowly push it off my shoulders.

"What? We have to take advantage of there being no cameras babe." I smile wickedly, as the robe falls around ny ankles.

"Fuck." My husband groans. I grin, slowly walking into the cool water, feeling the warmth of sun against my bre skin.

He just makes me feel so safe and comfortable that I do these wild things I could only imagine before. He has really brought me out of my shell.

I bite my lip, almost challenging him with my eyes.

"Oh you are in for the time of your life little sheep." He growls, shedding his robe and jumping in as I squeal.

I love our life.

"My legs are shaking." I inform my husband as he settles me onto the couches built into the pool. He had to carry me out of the water because my legs feel like jello.

"Well you were the one who was teasing me." He smirks, sitting down next to me, his gorgeously toned body wet and shiny.

"Ares seriously look." I point to my visibly quivering thigh. He laughs.

"You have such sexy thighs." he groans, kissing my hair.

"Don't you get worked up again. I can barely feel my legs." I huff.

"Can you stand?" he asks, laughing.

"I reckon no." he laughs harder. "Seriously?" I ask him, annoyed.

"I am sorry but I can't help feeling accomplished. It's how my brain works." he kisses my lips.

"Im hungry though, and I can't make anything if I can't stand." I grumble.

"That's okay baby, I have prepared for such situations." he grunts, picking me up again, carrying me inside. I shiver at the cold air conditioning against my nude body. "Shit sorry." he hisses, putting me down on the living room couch then running out to get my robe then coming back in, locking the doors.

He puts it around me, tying it tightly then picking me up again, this time we stop in the kitchen, he settles me down on a comfortable bar chair.

There are many things laid out on the island. Pastries, croissants and cakes. As well as a pot of tea.

"Who did all this?" I ask, completely surprised by it.

"People did before we got here. Theres also lasagna in the fridge that we can bake later." he says, putting the tea kettle on the stove. "Are you still cold my love?" he asks, coming back to me, rubbing my arms with his big hands.

"Mm, no Im fine." I smile at him.

"I will go get those bags while the tea warms up okay?" He asks. I nod at him.

"Thankyou." I call after him, he waves a hand behind his shoulder, leaving me smiling.
