The Ravenclaw match was fast approaching and the team training sessions were still as unforgiving as ever. The temperature outside had started to drop and Camilla knew she would have to start getting her winter clothes out soon.

After the last lesson of ancient runes Camilla headed back to the Gryffindor common room with Lily, Marlene, Mary and Alice. On their way they had grabbed some snacks and they took to completing their homework in the dorm with Lily's second player whirring in the corner. Camilla missed being in the dorm with the girls. Although she loved having peace and quiet with James, when he wasn't there it could get quite lonely. It was just nice to chat and just laugh with her friends without any boys hanging around.

As usual, they were all gossiping. Alice had told them that Frank had just joined the order of the Phoenix and her plans to join herself. Mary had forced information out of lily about Amos Diggory, whom responded with a sheepish smile and a pink blush. It was Marlene's turn to interrogate.

"You seemed pretty cosy with Jonathon the other day at practice " Marlene said with a smirk, remembering the pair laughing and chatting on the pitch, "what's going on there, hm?"

Camilla rolled her eyes lightheartedly, "There's nothing going with Jonathon. Why does everyone keep saying that?"

"Everyone?" Lily asked with intrigue

"yeah" Camilla nodded, "Potter, and now Marlene"

It was Mary who scoffed in amusement, "Cam I think you're the most oblivious person on earth when it comes to realising who likes you"

Camilla just shrugged.

She was pretty aware now.

"I don't think I'm too bad" she shrugged, "I mean I know James does, or at-least I hope he does, given the past two weeks"

The four girls looked her gobsmacked.

"What do you mean given the past few weeks?!" Lily said, pointing a finger at camilla accusingly

Camilla just shrugged sheepishly.

"Camilla!" Lily continued sternly, "What do you mean by the last few weeks?!"

"well... we might have kissed... a couple of times. It's really not that big of a deal thou-"

"You did what?!"

"Finally!"

"You must be joking"

"it's really not that big of a deal" Camilla reiterated, laughing at her friends faces which seemed to be stuck between delight and utter disbelief

"Not that big of a deal?!" Mary gasped

"Everyone has been waiting for you both to get together since bloody first year!" Alice said beaming

"We're not together" Camilla corrected, "We just kiss sometimes is all"

That comment was met with funny looks all around.

"That is complete bullshit Cam" Marlene said matter of factly, "If you both like each-other, why not?"

Camilla didn't really know why not. She liked James a lot. He was everything she could ever wish for in a boyfriend. He was unbelievably kind and caring, super super attractive, he loved quidditch, he was quite literally the male version of herself.

Camilla and James got on like no one else.

It was almost scary how similar they were.

It was obvious to anyone who knew the both that they were meant to be together.

As Camilla returned to their dorm she had seen that James had returned from spending the evening with the marauders.

He sat on the sofa in-front of the fire, only wearing his pyjama bottoms with his broom across his legs as he polished it.

Sitting down beside him he put one arm around her shoulder casually, the other polishing his broom.

Camilla had been thinking about hr conversation with Lily, Marlene, Mary and Alice.

What were they?

Were they a thing? Or did James see them still as friends?

James hadn't noticed her deep in thoughts but put his broom down on the carpet.

"I hope you don't have plans this weekend" he said with a knowing smile on his face

"Plans? no" Camilla shook her head, "Unless you count quidditch and patrols"

"I don't"

"then no, I don't have plans. why?"

James had a grin on his face and laid back on the sofa, showing Camilla a prefect view of his toned torso.

"Well, you have plans now" he said, "Next Saturday we're gonna do something fun. We're going out"

Camilla tilted her head slightly, "Are you asking me out on a date Potter?"

James just laughed, throwing his head back, "Suppose I am Prewett, what do you say?"

"Hm" Camilla pretended to think about it sarcastically making James shake his head light, "What may this date involve?"

James shrugged, "It's a surprise"

"what kind?"

"Say yes and you'll find out Prewett" He said finally, not letting the secret slip

A smile slowly pulled onto Camilla's lips.

"what time?"

"9am, right here" James said pointing to their shared common room

Camilla nodded but couldn't help but wonder what James had planned and couldn't help but ponder why they needed to meet so early in the morning. She couldn't wait to find out what they was going to do and she knew the weeks would drag on forever as they resumed their usual routine of revising, doing homework, attending lessons and playing quidditch.

Next weekend couldn't come soon enough.
