Chapter 69

As the police took Geeta, Tony, Alisha and her uncle into custody, the atmosphere in the room began to calm down. With the situation settling, they sighed as the dangers are gone.

Vasundhara turned to Vikram, her expression demanding an explanation.

"You all knew beforehand that Arjun was acting and this was all planned," she said, her tone sharp with accusation.

Vikram sighed, shaking his head "No, I heard them planning at Sharma House. When I asked them, they didn't tell me initially. Later, when they told me, we had planned it together."

Radha interjected, her voice tinged with disappointment. "You could have told us earlier, Bhaiyya. We would also have acted, na? "I nearly got a heart attack listening to Arjun's confession."

Vivek chimed in and said "If we told you all, you would have done overacting and would have spoiled the entire plan."

Laughter filled the room with Vivek's statement , Arjun's gaze lingered on Siya, who seemed distant and detached from the jovial atmosphere. He wanted to talk to her, but fear of her reaction held him back, leaving him uncertain about what to do next.

Janaki's words broke his thoughts "Arjun, if not us you could have at least told Siya," his grandmother remarked.

Atharva joked, "Yeah, at least Bhai could have escaped from that resounding slap from Babhi. But Babhi, I must say that was the best shot. Uff, it still plays in front of my eyes."

Vasundhara intervened, chiding Atharva gently. Amidst the laughter, all eyes turned to Siya, who managed a faint smile before excusing herself.

"I'm not feeling well. I'll just go to my room," she said softly before leaving the room. Arjun watched her go, feeling a mixture of concern and regret. He knew he had to talk to Siya and make things right, but he wasn't sure how to approach her after everything that had happened.

Janaki addressed "Arjun, I don't say whatever you have done was wrong, But the only mistake you have made is not involving Siya. If not involving her, you could have at least shared your plans ahead of time so that she could be prepared. Keeping her tense and upset specially at this time is not good for her health."

Arjun sighed and said "Dadi, I didn't want to tense her up with these issues. That's why I didn't share anything," he admitted his tone heavy with regret.

Vasundhara, chimed in and said "You are wrong Arjun. What you have done without her knowledge has made her more upset and emotional," she stated firmly.

Janaki advised Arjun go and talk to her at least now, Arjun confessed "I tried Dadi, but she ignored me. Now I'm confused about how to approach her," he admitted, his uncertainty evident.

Vasundhara said you have to try hard Arjun for making my daughter in law cry.

Arjun nodded and came out of the room where Kishore and Aditya followed him.
Kishore, couldn't resist a sly remark said Aditya i think our mighty Arjun Malhotra is definitely scared of talking to Siya. He  tasted the slap and he doesn't want to get slapped again," he whispered, earning a snort from Aditya.

Arjun shot them a look, feeling annoyed and said "I won't let you both off the hook. I'll tell Siya that you stopped me from sharing with her," he threatened.
