3 Days had passed since the end of the Sendai Duel.
And there were 3 Monumental Changes in the Jujutsu World.
The First: Sendai City had begun its reconstruction.
Various news outlets reported the incident as a major earthquake. The public, blissfully unaware of the truth, accepted this explanation.
Behind the scenes, however, the elders of the Jujutsu Society were scrambling for damage control. Their reputation as protectors of the nation could not survive accusations of wreaking havoc on an entire city. They needed a scapegoat, and that scapegoat was found in the second change.
The Second: (Y/N) (L/N) was permanently exiled from the Jujutsu Society.
His status as a Special Grade Sorcerer, his role as a teacher at Kyoto Jujutsu High—both stripped away. The narrative painted him as once an honorable and unfailing sorcerer had fallen to vengeance, turning his back on the Jujutsu Society and his fellow sorcerers. Evidence was brought up, claiming (Y/N) had visited Geto Suguru, another disgraced sorcerer turned curse user, shortly before the Sendai Duel.
According to the official report, before the situation spiraled out of control and countless lives were lost, Gojo Satoru intervened. He single-handedly confronted (Y/N), stepping in to prevent further devastation. This confrontation became known as the Sendai Duel. And in this duel, it was Gojo Satoru who emerged victorious. His actions were hailed as heroic, a decisive effort to avert an even greater calamity.
This, of course, was all a lie—because of the third and most shocking change that everyone did not know of.
The Third: The Strongest of the Modern Era. There were now Two...
All these decisions, however, were not entirely the elders' doing... Behind the veil of lies and politics, there was a certain truth.
Far from the ruins of Sendai, amidst the serenity of a dense forest untouched by prying eyes, the massive bird cursed spirit descended. Its wings beat powerfully, stirring the air as it landed gracefully in a clearing.
Shoko was the first to leap off, her shoes crunching against the moss-covered ground.
She then signaled for the bird to lower its wings, and it obeyed, bending slightly.
(Y/N) and Gojo, moving with a sluggishness born of exhaustion, slid down from the spirit's back. Their movements were stiff, their bodies still bearing the weight of the battle, but at least they could stand.
Gojo groaned as he stretched, a loud crack sounding from his back.
He winced slightly, glancing sideways at (Y/N), who responded by cracking his neck deliberately, as if to imply they were equally battered.
Gojo let out a breathy chuckle and turned toward the bird and gave its beak a playful tap.
"You can go back to your owner now."
With a piercing croak, the cursed spirit launched itself skyward, its massive wings creating gusts that blew their hair wildly.
(Y/N) barely managed to hold onto the lab coat Shoko had draped over him earlier, fumbling to keep it in his grasp.
