58. Kai - Unpredictable

hi everyone - I'm surprised people still read my work because I just read through a few stories and realized how poor of a writer I was four years ago... I guess here's a story to make up for the lost time :)

Of course I run into the one person I didn't want to see on my day-off: Kai. You sneer at the cute boy across the beach. He's your neighbor, which makes him your long-time childhood friend. Bit as time passed, he got popular, and grew more distant. Or was that because you felt like you weren't good enough? He isn't even that cute. You roll your eyes after glancing at his nice six-pack. I just wanted a nice day off at the beach - just me, my book, and my towel. Is that too hard to ask?

You pull up your knees a bit more than usual, trying to hide between the pages of your book. Uncomfortable with Kai's presence on the beach, you walk towards the showers to take a breather.  

Tap tap tap. You feel a hand turn your shoulder around.

"Hey beautiful" The tall older-looking man smirks and scans your body. "You're looking fine today, honey." 

The second pervert whistles. "I know it's a hot day, but I think you're making it hotter." You roll your eyes and ignore them, but they butt into your personal space. "You with anyone?" The second one slings his arm around your shoulders. 

You're uncomfortable, but clearly they don't care. "Get off me!" You try to shake him off, annoyed at their persistency. However, being a bit shy, you didn't want to make a scene. There were kids around, after all. 

"Aw, come on cupcake," the first guy pinches your cheeks. "Follow us and we'll go have some fun." He pulls your arm with enough force your arm could rip out of its socket. Before you could react, you're cornered by these two strangers behind the showers. You try to kick and flail your arms, but there's no use.

"Is our girl a little tired?" The one pinning you to the wall mocks your strength.

Shit. You breathe heavy. Should've taken those self defense classes. You mentally face-palm yourself. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. What do I do, what do I do, what do I do. Your mind races and darts at the objects near you. The tree? what can I do with that? Nothing. I'm on the wall pinned. Can't move. The sand? no...got it!

Your face suddenly turns sly, as if you're trying to hide a secret. "Alright, cuties," You slur your words and smile at the first one pinning you on the wall. "You've won me over." 

"She turned around quick," The first one notes. The second one is ready to pounce the second he gets the chance. With your cat-like reflexes, you stop him before he can. 

"Nope, honey. You got to wait your turn over there." you point a few feet away from where he is now. "Watch me have a little fun with your friend first." You lick your lips. The one holding you to the wall loosens his grip a bit so you can direct his friend to the other side to watch the show. "Now," you slide your hands to the guy's lower abs. "I think it's your turn. You've been such a patient man," you coo. 

You could see droll coming out of his eyes. So dumb and horny. "Alright, boy, close your eyes as I give you my present." You smile. He comes in close to your face for a kiss. BAM. Within seconds, you're running away from them, laughing at the guy holding his crotch. Good kick, _______. You praise yourself.

"You're not gonna get away with this! Get back here, you slut!" Both are running at full-speed. You weren't the fastest runner at school, so running in the sand wasn't helping your cause. 

As your turn your head back to look forward, your forehead hits someone's back. Oof. "Ohmygod, I am so sorry I hope I--"

"______?"

Crap. Just when my day couldn't get any worse. You try to hide your face, but it's no use. 

"What are you doing here" You look up at Kai's radiant face. He's with the rest of his gorgeous friends: Sehun, Lay, and Chanyeol. The others in his gang must be playing volleyball or something. 

You don't have time for this. "Look. I'm sorry for bumping into you, but I'll make it up later, okay? I'm busy a--"

"Found you!" The perverts are back and this time with more strength than before. One of them spins you around so fast, you almost lose your balance. Before he could get anything in, Kai steps in. 

"Woah, hold on." Kai tries to talk some sense into these guys.

"Oh yea? And who are you to tell me this, mama's boy?" The pervert squints at Kai and pushes Kai on the chest. Shocked, Kai is in a daze for a bit. But only for a bit. Kai pushes the guy's chest back. 

"What'd you just say?" Kai puffs out his chest in an attempt to intimate the other dude. 

"Yea I said it." He pushes Kai again. "Mama's," A finger on Kai's chest. "B--"

"BOYFRIEND." you blurt out. Everyone turns to you, confused. "Boyfriend," You say more calmly. "Kai is my boyfriend." You take a quick breath in and turn towards the two strangers. "So sorry boys," you snap. "I'm taken."

Silence. You're afraid your lie isn't believable. 

"Y-yeah," Lay chimes in. "_______ an Kai are dating." He stands up straighter. "So back. Off. The girl." He tries his best to look stern while glaring. 

"That's right" Chanyeol also takes a step forward. The guy threatening Kai takes a step back. Sehun also takes a step to assert his dominance. "Yeah," Sehun chimes in. 

"Fine," the guy holds up his hand and sneers. "Better have a better hold of your pet." He glares at Kai, who glares right back. "Seems like she isn't as loyal as she looks." He spits near my feet before turning away with his friend.

"Oh my lord," Your knees couldn't hold you up any longer and you collapse in the sand. "That could've ended so much worse."

"Well" Kai sneers. "I'm supposed to protect my girlfriend, right?" 

You look up. "Wait, that was just so that it wouldn't become a big fight and--"

"Oh hey guys" Kai yells back at the strangers. They turn around to see what's the fuss about.

Your eyes widen. "No wait, don't call them back" You drag his arm down. "They're bad news all around." You pout. It's over. 

Kai smiles that one smile that everyone swoons over. "Of course I won't call them back." He bends down. "I just want to show them who you belong to now" Kai leans in and aggressively kisses you, making it clear to the two strangers that you're his, or at least you are now. You could feel Kai smile in between the kisses. 

The two perverts flip you two off. "GET A ROOM!" They shout and storm off, angrier than before.

You push Kai off. "Was that necessary?" You're blushing so hard right now while looking at the ground, hoping no one would notice. 

He lifts up your chin. "Probably not. But was it worth it?" He bops your nose and stands. "Yep." Kai turns around and walks back to his friend group. 

You're left there, dumbfounded. 

"You coming _______?" Kai waves you towards his direction. "A good girlfriend would follow." You knew he was smirking right now, even if you were looking at the back of his head. 

You get up, but correct his speech. "I told you, I'm--"

"OH YEAH," Kai starts yelling again. 

"I'm your girlfriend!" you run towards him and blurt out, still pretty embarrassed with everything. 

Kai turns around, just in time to catch you in his arms. His smile is so soft. His hair glistened in the sun's rays. 

"About time you realized it."
