Chapter 29

-Kendall-

"Mom no!" I groaned.

"Kendall don't be difficult." My mom sighed in defeat. "Katherine was sweet and I couldn't say no."

"Okay fine! You guys go but I'm staying at home." I shrugged. "I have a Biology report to finish anyways."

"Oh please Kendall you had finished that yesterday." She rolled her eyes.

I was out of excuses. Jacks parents had invited us over for a barbeque tomorrow and I didn't want to go. I get that Jack and I made up but damn...I am not ready to play house with the Gilinsky.

"Molly is back from college." My mom added. "She misses you."

I sighed. "Fine we'll go! But we are not staying too late!"

"Great!" My mom smiled. The week passed by so fast and it was Friday tomorrow. I just wasnt up for a night of walking down a long memory lane of Jack and I.

I heard Cameron's hooter outside and grabbed my bag. He offered me a ride because I couldn't use my dads car today and mine was getting fixed.

"I owe you!" I said as I jumped into Cams car.

"No biggie." Cam shrugged. "Shall we stop at Starbucks real quick?"

"Boy you know me!" I nodded.

After Starbucks we arrived at Westside high and I thanked Cameron again and jogged inside. None of the girls were in sight so I walked to my locker, someone was there already.

Madison.

I was about to turn around and run but she was crying so that caught my attention more than anything.

"Madison are you okay?" I asked and put my arm around her. Her mascara was running.

"J-jack and I br-roke up." she bawled and buried her face against my shoulder. I blinked and tried to process what she said.

"What happened?" I asked when she stood up straight. I walked her over to the girls bathroom where people wouldn't stare.

"Well...I was with Carter and yeah we sort of you know...and Jack found out." She sniffed as I handed her tissue.

"Oh geez." I stared at her. I didn't really feel sorry for her now but she was still a friend and I wanted to help her.

"Its fine." She sniffed. "I just even know why I'm crying."

"Maybe you regret it?" I tried to be helpful and make her see why he would leave her after doing that. "Hooking up with Carter I mean."

"Oh no." She laughed bitterly. "I don't think I regret that."

"Madison - "

"I'm gonna go find him now." She said and walked out leaving me gaping after her in disbelief.

I shook my head and went back to my locker to get my English books. I couldn't believe Madison would do this but I was proud of Jack for breaking up with some one who's been with all his friends.

"HANNAH! HANNAH!" Tas ran up to me and yelled my name a thousand times.

"Tas! Calm down." I laughed. "Are you okay?"

"You will never believe what - I mean who walked into the office this morning while I was getting my new timetable." She bent forward and caught her breath.

"Who?" I shook her excitedly. "TAS JONES WHO?"

"Kian freaking Lawley." She whispered to me dramatically.
