Chapter 29

Josilyn Pov

"What? You're going to teach me how to surf?" I ask excitedly.

He nods, "you never stopped begging me before so today is your lucky day," he smiles.

"Yayayay!" I run down to the water quicker and hurriedly try to push the board in the water.

Louis laughs and jogs after me, "Woah love, slow down. This is gonna take time." He says. I nod.

He makes me set the board down and then takes me back to shore, to some shop. We buy wetsuits and get changed into them.

We both then go back and sit on the boards as he began to tell me everything about surfing.

What I'm supposed to do, how I'm supposed to lay, and how I catch a wave. {no rhyme intended}

He told me how I could tell a wave was coming. To look for waves that are just beginning the show white wash and position in front of them, facing shore. I then have to paddle and stand up once I feel the wave pulling me to shore.

When he about done telling me things, he points out to me that there was a wave coming. And sure enough, I saw the white wash.

"You're going to watch me do it and then I'm going to let you try the next wave, ok?"

I nod excited.

He then begins to paddle into the water. I eagerly paddle behind him to get a closer look but still keep a bit of distance. Once he got really close, I saw him push up, bringing his legs underneath him and come to a stand.

Before I know it, I see him riding a wave. This never seems to fascinate me any less.

Once he comes out of the wave, he swims back over to me telling me to go.

I squeal as I began to paddle at towards the upcoming wave.

I felt like whenever I was coming to a stand, my foot almost slipped, but it didn't and I successfully stood.

I can't believe it, I'm doing it!

I'm surfing!

I could hear the boys cheering me on from the shore. Louis's the loudest.

Once the wave ended, I hopped into water and began to swim back to Louis, pulling my board with me.

When I get close enough, Louis pulls me into a tight hug, "Amazing. You're a natural!"

I smile wide, "Thankyou! It was so much fun! Let's do it again," I exclaim.

Louis laughs, "We have to wait for another wave."

From then on, we both had kept taking turns riding waves.

It was such a rush. I can't believe I could actually do it.

But after some time, it began to get cloudy and then begin to rain.

But who cares, this is so fun.

Louis swam back from his wave and came over to me,

"Time to go" he says.

"What? Noo why?" I frown.

"Its getting a bit windy and it may get slippery on your board, I don't know how I feel about you-"

"Pleaseee. But I'm having such a good time," I tell him. I spot another wave approaching.

"I know. We've been here for like 4 hours though Jo," he chuckles, "we'll come back tomorrow. I promise." He tells me.

"Just one more wave," I beg.

"No I-"

Before he can stop me, I quickly began to paddle out towards the wave.

Louis shouts after me and I'm almost sure he's paddling after me.

I get closer to the wave and try to come to a stand like many times before. But my foot slips and I fall back onto the board.

The wave hovers over me like a giant for a mili-second

And in that mili-second I hear Louis shout, "JO!" as he jumps onto my board and wraps his arms around me, enveloping me as much as he can.

The wave comes crashing down on us and we immediately go under.

Harry Pov

I continue to pump his chest, hoping for him to wake up.

We had just witnessed Louis and Jo get hit by a huge wave.

After them not coming up after 6 seconds, we had to go into the water to search for them.

Just incase.

I went to search for Louis and Liam searched for Jo.

Niall was at the concession stand and Zayn in the bathroom. But when Liam saw Zayn he immediately told him everything and pulled him off to the ocean to help him find Josie.

The only reason I found Louis quick was because his body doesn't sink, it floats.

Unfortunately, Jo sinks though. So Liam needed help. It was him, Zayn, and the lifeguard.

Everyone was crowding around worried. And many fans were crying and tweeting. It was chaos. I just hope the paparazzi don't show up.

Louis eventually begins to cough up water.

I sit him up as he bends over and continues to get rid of the water that made itself into his body.

I pat his back.

"We can't find her!" Liam exclaims running back to shore. "Oh Louis you're ok, thank goodness."

Many people willingly run into the water to try to help search.

"Shit what the hell happened?" Louis exclaims rubbing the back of his head.

"You got hit by a wave and hit your head on something I think, you'll be fine. But we can't find Josie," I tell him nervously.

"Everyone's still looking," Liam breathes.

"What?" Louis looks at me confused.

"He must still have water in his ears," Liam says as he grabs his head and tries to tilt it sideways.

But Louis slaps away his hands, "I can hear fine you dimwit!"

"Oh."

"I'm just confused. Who's Josie?" Louis looks up at me.

Everyone gasped loudly.

Many of you guys guessed someone drowning.

Do you guys realize that drowning means you die?

Lol I'm gonna tell you right now,

I doubt any author would kill off their main character in the first chapters of the story.

Just saying.
