[13]: I'm Being A Two-Timer

"HELLO THERE, LITTLE NERD." SETH said, jumping in my room.

Oh great. Seth and the dark. Lovely.

"Do not call me 'nerd', mister." I said.

"Sure thing, Princess Nerd."

"Get out of my room." I ordered.

"Not gonna happen." He said, shaking his head stubbornly then plopped in my bed.

"Hey! Get off my bed!" I exclaimed.

"No way! You like Avenged Sevenfold too? Cool." He said, looking through my music folder in my laptop.

"Hey, leave it alone okay?" I said.

"Aha!" He suddenly said. "A Disney song! What a girl." He mused.

My jaw dropped open in resentment. I folded my arms across my chest.

"I am a girl. I don't smoke, drink or party every weekend. I don't skip classes nor start a drama to get attention. Yes, we do still exist." I stated.

Seth scoffed. "Tell that to someone who cares."

I badly want to pull his hair out.

"Look Seth, don't you have a house to guard, or something? It's late in the night and no ones in your house. Your house might get robbed." I said.

"Nah, don't worry. The only thing unlocked is the window in my room." He said.

"Get out, Seth." I said nearing him.

"Really? I heard you moments ago say," He said then changed his voice to a high pitched feminine one. "Oh God, why a blackout?"

"I just hate the dark, that's all." I stated.

Then I realized my laptop wasn't charging.

"Oh damn, my laptop isn't charging. It gets lowbat quickly." I said, pulling the charger from the outlet and keeping the laptop and iPad away.

"Okay, so, now what?" I said.

"It's so hot." Seth stated.

"No electricity? Duh?"

"I'm not stupid, you nerd."

"I'm not a nerd, you jerk."

"I'm not a jerk, you loser."

"I'm no loser, you douchebag."

"I'm not a douchebag, miss perfect."

"I'm not a miss perfect. Seth, stop it." I said.

"No, you love it, Nerd." Seth smirked.

"I don't, Seth." I said, trying to calm down.

Inhale, exhale, Thei. Calm down. It's just Seth.

I was about to exhale for the third time but I abruptly stopped when Seth removed his shirt.

Oh my god. My jaw dropped open. His 6-pack was very oh-so mouth watering.

"Take a picture. It lasts longer." Seth said.

"What do you think are you doing?" I asked.

"I told you, it's so hot." Seth said.

I scoffed. "Go back to your house."

"Why? You'll have no company."

"Then I'd rather be alone than having a guy without a shirt on as company." I replied.

"A sexy guy without a shirt on." He corrected.

"Sexy? In your face." I spat.

Okay, that might be so rude of me.

"Did I just hear Princess sound rude?" Seth mused. "Admit it, Thea. I'm to darn sexy."

"No. You're not sexy." I said, chin held up high.

"Then you asked for it." Seth said with a smirk then charged towards me.

"What are you一AHHHH!" I shrieked as we fell down on my carpeted floor.

Then he started tickling me.

"Agghhhhh!! No, Seth一stop一no! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"Uh-uh, Princess. Say that I'm sexy." Seth said, still tickling me.

He found my most ticklish part which was on the side of my hips.

"AHAHAHAAAA..." I was laughing so hard no sound came out anymore.

"Say it, Thea..." He said.

"No!" I tried then gasped for air.

"Okay," he said and never stopped tickling me.

I was squirming so hard that Seth might not be able to hold me that long.

Damn, Seth's too darn strong.

We were sweating already as I laughed and while Seth tickled me to death.

"SETH! STOP IT!" I shrieked when I got the chance to. "HAHAHAHAHA!"

Thea, use your fist! Punch him in the face or kick him in the gut! A voice said in my head.

Gathering all my strength, I pulled my fist back and struck for Seth's fist when his warm hand enveloped mine.

"I don't think so, Princess." He said and I could hear the smirk in his voice.

Just then, my lamp and the vanity lights went on and so did the aircondition.

And the crazy screamo metal sounded then ended.

THANK GOD!

Seth must have seen my reaction in the dim lighting so he smirked.

And then another song started.

'Everything you say
Is just a lie
And now I'm leaving
To the city where the people
Are awake to chase a dream
That isn't real
And we 'posed to be somethin'
That we're not
Just wanna change a lot
And sign our name after the dot'

My mouth dropped open in surprise.

"You also listen to Imagine Dragons?" I asked.

"I do. Now, we're not done yet." He replied.

"Done with what?" I asked, my eyebrows burrowing in confusion.

"This!" He exclaimed and tickled my weak spot.

"Ahhhhhh!" I shrieked in delight. "Not aga...in!"

"Just say 'Seth is sooo sexy' and I'll stop."

"IN YOUR...DREAMS! Ahahah!" I replied, laughing.

Oh no, I'm gonna die because of tickling.

"Say it," Seth demanded, tickling faster and I squirmed harder and pounded on Seth's bare rock-hard chest.

I couldn't take it anymore.

Just say what he wants you to say, Thea! My inner voice snapped.

"Okay! Seth is so sexy!" I exclaimed.

"Ahh, good girl." He said, leaning closer to me.

We stayed like that in a moment, staring at each other's eyes, breathing heavily while the music played.

That's I realized in what position we were in一he was straddling me.

I wanted to get out of this position but my body won't cooperate. Plus, Seth was weighing me down.

'Don't look back
I'm easy
And that's a fact
You're on my mind, oh'

And another realization hit me. Like a rock.

I want Seth in my life.

I don't care what will happen if we are together.

What do they always say?

Take a risk.

I realized that Seth isn't dangerous at all times. He's annoying, a jerk and anti-social yet that's what made me like him.

He's different on his own way.

Oh my god, I'm crushing on the school bad boy.

But what about Robert?

PLEASE DON'T TELL ME I'M BEING A TWO-TIMER!

Just then my phone rang.

"Get off me, fat ass." I said, slapping his muscle-packed arm.

"Shut up, nerd." He said, getting up.

He offered his hand to help me up. I looked at it warily and took it.

But halfway up, he let go of my hand, being a jerk he is, and let me fall.

I braced myself for the pain but it never came. Instead, I felt myself being lifted up to my feet.

"You jerk!" I shrieked. "I hate you!"

I stomped towards my ringing phone and find that my mom was calling.

"Mom?" I greeted, in a fake cheerful voice.

"Oh honey! I'll have to let you know that we'll be going home tomorrow morning at seven." She said. "Have you packed already?"

"Oh... um... yes?" I answered.

The truth is I did start packing already. I packed my clothes and even things for the Seminary but I still wasn't done.

"Darling, you don't sound so sure."

Just then I felt arms wrap around my waist and a chin rest on my right shoulder as I breathed in Seth's familiar scent.

I jerked my shoulders to shake him off but he hugged my back tighter. My heart was hammering against my chest.

"I'm just not yet done, Mom." I replied.

"Okay then. Well honey, I'll go now. Sleep tight." Mon said.

"Bye." I whispered as she hanged up.

"Seth, get off me." I said.

"Are you mad at me?" He asked.

"What do you think?" I replied.

"I'm sorry. I'll never do that again." He said, pressing his cheek against mine.

"It's okay." I said, starting to feel uncomfortable. "I want to sleep."

"Okay, I'll go then." Seth said. He walked away and jumped out my window.

I walked to my bed and plopped in it.

This is oh so complicated.

************

I was smoothing my skirt when a honk sounded from outside.

I looked outside and saw a cab outside our gates.

"Mom! Dad! Cab's here!" I exclaimed.

"Okay, honey. Let's go down!" Mom exclaimed back.

I grabbed my bags and headed downstairs and fortunately didn't fall down the stairs.

The taxi man got Mom and Dad's suitcases and put it in the cab's trunk.

Mom pressed the doorbell and a pretty woman in her early forties went out of their house and opened the iron gates.

Thing first thing in my mind was: Wow.

Seriously. The white structure stood in it's place like it was proud to be built. And their front lawn was taken care to perfection一the grass was so green and trimmed evenly. Different flowers of every kind and color was seen everywhere. Made my house lose a few cool points.

"Tianna! Anthony! How nice to see you again!" The woman greeted my mom an dad.

She had rich brown straight hair, brown eyes, high cheekbones, and Spanish features. She somehow looked like Seth.

Then I realized that she was his mom.

Mom pulled her into a hug and dad gave her a smile and a respectful nod.

"And this must be your daughter. Oh, she's a real beauty." Mrs. Deavon exclaimed.

"Thank you, Mrs. Deavon." I said.

"Oh, I'm Maria Deavon but if you won't mind, call me Marie." She said.

I nodded. "Will do."

"Okay, Thea," My mom chirped. "We'll have to go now. Remember, be a good girl and don't be a problem to Marie."

I nodded and she hugged me.

"Bye darling." She said and dad kissed my forehead.

"See you soon, kiddo." Dad said and joined mom back to the house.

"Let's go in, Thea." Marie said, leading me inside the house.

******

My jaw dropped open at my first sight of the inside part of the house.

If the outside was such a beauty, wait till you see the inside一designer furniture, antique chinas, a breathtaking chandelier that hanged above us and expensive-looking electronics like the gigantic TV in the living room was seen.

"Wait here, hon. I'm going to call the lazy butt." She said.

I wheezed out a chuckle and watched her go up the stairs. I looked around the living room and took a look at the pictures in frames. Most showed Seth, his mom and a younger version of Marie一who I guess is Seth's older sister一, a little girl who somehow looks also like Seth and Marie一who I think is Seth's younger sister and Marie carrying a baby.

No picture showed Seth's father.

I look around more and a picture in a white shiny frame was placed a the shelf that was beside the TV caught my eyes.

It was a picture of Seth's whole family. I mean there was a thirteen year old looking Seth, his older sister that looks like fifteen or sixteen in the picture, Marie in her mid-thirties and a baby girl in pink in her arms and a man.

My jaw dropped as soon as I got a better view of the guy standing beside Marie.

Oh. My. God.

The man was in his late thirties and is very, very, VERY gorgeous. He had rich slicked black hair combed to the back of his head, perfectly arched thick eyebrows, blackish-brown eyes, high cheekbones, perfect nose, full lips and he had a very sexy shaved beard. He had a tanned skin, Spaniard's features and he was tall.

Like really tall that Marie's head in the picture was only until her husband's mouth.

Seth must be so grateful this guy shared him his genes.

"That's my dad." A familiar guy's voice called from behind me.

I jumped in surprise and turned around.

"You almost scared me to death!" I exclaimed, starting to feel the little butterflies in my stomach.

"Do I look like I care?" Seth asked.

"Oooh, someone's grumpy." I dared to tease.

"This happens when you're waken up by your mother at 7:30 in the morning." Seth said, walking to the kitchen.

"Oh, shut up Seth. One day, I might start waking you up at this time of the day." His mother said, descending down the stairs with a chubby little girl in her arms, her head draped over Marie's shoulder.

"Oh no, mom! Stop doing that. One day, you might fall down the stairs because of Sarah's weight!" Seth cried in a high-pitched tone of voice.

The little girl's head went up and faced Seth. I couldn't see her face but I was sure she was glaring at Seth.

"Seth, I asked you to come down here to help Thea carry her bags upstairs." Marie said.

"Thea? Thea who?" Seth fake asked.

"Oh, forget it, Mrs. Deavon. I'll put my bags in my room myself." I said as Marie turned to me and so did the little girl.

"Who said you're going to stay in a room? FYI, you're staying in the kennel." Seth said in monotone.

"Seth!" Marie snapped at her son.

"Whaaat?" He asked, stretching the word.

"You do not talk to our guests like that!" Marie scolded.

"Oh come on, Thea doesn't mind. She's used to it." Seth said.

"Seth put her bags in her room, NOW." Marie ordered.

Seth scratched the back of his head furiously and took his sweet time walking to the purple suitcases set on the the floor near the door.

This guy really has an attitude.

"Um, Marie? I'll have to leave now because I'm going to take my ballet lessons today." I called to Marie.

After I said 'ballet', Marie and the little girl一Sarah, I think her name was一both perked up.

"Okay, sure. Your parents told me to allow you to let you go out anytime. Did you take your breakfast already?" She replied.

"Yes." I said while nodding. "Thank you."

I clutched on the chain sling of my white Chanel purse while I stepped out of the Deavon's house.

Oh, I thought. I have no car.

I looked at the garage of my house and saw my shiny bright red convertible was there.

I cheered mentally.

I reached for my phone and dialed mom.

"Darling? Hello?" She said when she picked up.

"Mom? Hey. Just wondering, can I use my car while you're gone?" I asked.

"Oh yes, sure you can." She answered right away, sounding a little busy.

"Okay, thanks! Love you. Bye!" I said.

"Okay. I love you too. Bye." She said then hanged up.

I grinned like a maniac while heading towards my house and brought out the spare set of keys of anything that needs keys in the house that mom gave me a while ago.

I unlocked the padlock of my house's gates, opened it wide and walked towards my car.

Oh baby, I miss you so much.

I got in the driver's seat, produced my car key with a cute ice cream key chain and started the car.

I put my car on reverse and pulled out of the driveway while the annoying beeping sound from my car, because of the backing of my car, sounded.

I put out the reverse gear and it switched back to normal again. I got out of the car, locked the gates back and drove towards my ballet school.

***********

"One, two, three, four. One, two, three, four," Madame Catheliena chanted as Lindoln and I danced the routine I have with him.

Lindoln Williams is my ballet partner since I was thirteen. Our first dance was the kid's version of Swan Lake. We actually did the teen's version of it and it was better but we have so much to memorize.

"Perfect," Madame Cath purred as we fell into our final position. "Thea and Lindoln, you may go now. Okay, next, the Dance of the Chinese doll from Coppélia."

Lindoln and I flitted out of the performing room. "Awesome as usual, Thei." Lidoln said and he sent me a thumbs up before disappearing into the men's changing room and restroom.

I proceeded in the ladies' changing room and restroom and grabbed my purse and clothes from the little locker and put them on the marble sink.

I entered a changing stall and began changing into the clothes I wore awhile ago: fitted pink tee, black layered skirt that stopped just above my knees and pink and black jaguar-pattern designed flats.

I stepped out of the changing room and placed my tutu and pointe shoes back inside my locker. I rolled my black jumpsuit and since it was made of thin expandable material, it can fit easily inside my small purse. I did some re-touch with my make up too.

I was re-applying foundation when my phone rang.

'I got this feeling on the summer day when you were gone.
I crashed my car into the bridge. I watched, I let it burn.
I threw your shit into a bag and pushed it down the stairs.
I crashed my car into the bridge.

I don't care, I love it.
I don't care.'

I shook my head as I tried to not to chuckle at the ringtone. There's only one person who would set that song for a ringtone: Grace.

I fished out my ringing phone and pressed answer.

"Hellooo?" I sang.

"Hi Thei! Hey, just called to remind you of our Saturday BFF Hang-out." She said.

The Saturday BFF Hang-out was a tradition we started since we were still eighth graders. Every Saturday at twelve in the afternoon, we would meet up in the mall and spend the day there or anywhere we want.

"How could I forget?" I replied.

"That's my girl. Remember, no CMO." She reminded.

Here's another thing: Grace always wants us to wear clothes that matches colors一even Ethan and Bobby. CMO actually stands for Color Mismatched Outfit so if you notice, when I get dressed, I match the colors of what I wear. If Grace sees us with CMOs, she's going to have a heart attack and high blood pressure.

"No CMO." I promised.

"Okay, see you infront of Starbucks." She said.

"Alright, love. See you." I said and hanged up.
