I can't wait another night to see you
Gotta satisfy my sweet tooth
A little like reeses fallin' into pieces
Tell me there's a way to do this
I just wanna kiss your hot lips
Girl you make me melt like chocolate
Jaw breaker you got the kiss that I wanna savour

[38]: Sugar and Despise

THE DAY WAS STARTING OUT real good.

Real good that it almost freaked me out.

For one, it was Seth who woke me up 5 minutes before my usual alarm. What made it better when he said: Wake up princess, you don't want to be late for school, yes?

And of course, he didn't forget to give me that usual kiss. This time, it was a short kiss on my forehead.

And two, he was in a mood way much higher than 'good'.

It was a mood I've never seen before. A smile, the kind of smile that could be seen in his eyes, never left his face. Even since he woke me up, the smile was there.

The smile he had even leveled up when he saw me smiling too.

I mean, who wouldn't get affected by his smile? It was genuine and a bit of rare and why don't I grasp the chance to at least act normal with him?

And right now, we were inside his car, him driving to school. We were both quiet though, but the vibes radiating from him was easily classified as "good".

Of course, because I was Thea Hartens, curiosity reigned over me and I broke the silence.

"Why so happy?"

Seth snuck a glance at me and then back to the road, smiling again.

"What, couldn't I just be happy?" He replied.

"It's just, you know..." I trailed off, shy to admit that it was--

"Weird, right?" He said.

"Yes," I said with a small voice as I played with my fingers.

"It's your decision to get used to it, or not." Seth said.

Get used to it?

"Are you saying that you'll be happy all the time from now on?" I asked.

"No," he answered.

Oh.

"That's not what I'm saying. What I mean is 'get used to the sudden moods'," he added and I nodded in reply.

"But there must be a reason why you're like that, right?" I asked.

"And there must be a reason why you're annoying today, right?" He retorted.

"Yes," I answered boldly. "I'm curious. Now answer me."

"No Thea, it's none of your business," he said, chuckling lightly.

I mocked a frown at him in annoyance.

"Forget this," Seth said. "It won't do you anything."

"Why won't you tell me?" I asked again.

He was smiling like any minute now, he would burst out laughing. "If your little brain didn't comprehend what I said awhile ago, then I repeat, it's none of your business."

"Not even a clue?"

"Why are you so nosey?"

"I'm just curious!"

"Let it go, Thea. Mind your own business." He said, amused.

I narrowed my eyes at him for a minute then said, "Stop the car."
