*one year later*

My alarm rings uncontrollably and I hear my dad's voice."Tess" he yells.

"....Hmm" I moan. I try to look at the time using my phone but with on eye open and when you're sleepy as hell it's like looking directly at the sun.

"Tess you have a flight to catch." He reminds me and I instantly get up.

I push the duvet from me "Jesus. What's the time." I glance at my clock and it's not that late. My dad has a habit of waking me up half an hour before the actual time because he thinks I take half an hour to get up which is kinda true.
Yeah Kinda.

"Relax its not that late. Take a bath. The breakfast is almost ready." He informs me from outside and I hear his footsteps, walking away.

Dragging my lethargic butt out of bed I land on my soft red rug, quickly wearing my bathroom slippers I walk inside to get ready. Humming, I step into the shower area and the water relaxes my body. I quickly run soap over my body and use some shampoo to wash my hair since they were looking bad.

I got a pocket,
Got a pocket
Full of sunshine
I've got a love and
I know that it's mine (not)
Oh oh oh

I start singing joyfully. Adding my own words to the song...

Do what you want
But you never gonna
Break me,
Sticks and stones are
Never gonna shake me
Oh, oh oh

Take me away
A secret place
A sweet escape
Take me away
Take me away
To better days (please)
Take me away

After completing my morning ritual of singing the one or two verses of a song I wrap a towel around my soaked body and tip toe towards my room making sure I don't wet the floor. I quickly go to my closet and decide on wearing a blue balloon top and white ripped jeans. After staring at my reflection in the mirror I decide to wear a little make up. A little eye liner and chap stick would suffice, I think whilst applying them.

I've finally got into my dream
college after one year of hard work.
Yes I couldn't get in Brown university when I applied for it for the first time but hey, patience is the key to success right?! Today's my flight. It's a time of both happiness and despair. I've never been without my dad or brother for more than five days. Five days because I once had gone to a school trip. I had a lot of fun and those five days were-
Okay let's not take a walk down the memory lane because it includes Ashton, I remind myself.

Ashton. Finally.... He's out of my life. Sure, I thought I'd marry him someday but I think no one can change what's written.

Everything happens for your own good, Everything happens for your own good, Everything happens for your own good, I chant as I galloped downstairs.

"Sania bring me breakfast." I yell but she doesn't reply. I walk over to my kitchen to see my dad cooking? My eyes notice an iPad sitting on the kitchen counter with "make lasagna easily at home" open.

"Dad why are you cooking?" I question him, glancing between the pan placed in his right hand, in which onions, bell pepper, tomatoes and one or two thing are together mixed.

I scrunch my noes, I hate tomatoes...

"Sania took a leave for today, she was busy and also I wanted to make you my special breakfast." He informs as he grabs the olive oil.
