Chapter20/Old wise man

*Tess' POV*

"I swear to god if you guys start making out I'm out of here" Logan says to Briana and Isaac, making a disgusted face.

Briana and Isaac are a thing now and I'm happy for both of them, but I also feel a little jealous because I really wish that my life could've been like that, easy and not broken, being able to love and not being afraid to fall.

I step out of my daze due to the constant honking of the car done by none other than Logan. All of us are going to Isaac's house. By all of us I mean, me, Logan, Briana and Isaac. It's his mom's birthday and she invited all of his friends. Our friendship has really grown in just one month.

"Shut up" I say to Logan and he looks at me.

"Dude drive" Isaac says and Logan takes his eyes off me.

"Shut up? Tess you are free to drive if they start making out" Logan says, seriousness palpable on is face. And Briana let's out an annoyed groan.

Logan is pretty similar to me.
I too hate it when people just start making out in the middle of nowhere. Is it that they are so sexually frustrated that they have to be intimate in every place?

"Pleasure" I smile at him. His right hand grips the steering wheel whilst he lifts his left hand to gently strokes his hair. His tousled hair looks good on him but I hate it when he flops some of his strands, covering half of his forehead which is almost everytime.

"Oh If Tess is driving I'm also out of here" Isaac says in a mocking way and I'm offended.

"You aren't going anywhere" Briana says to Isaac as she kisses him on the neck.

"Hey I'm not that bad. And you can use no offence" I tell him, rolling me eyes.

"Yes offence" he says and Logan uses his right hand to give a high five to Isaac.
They always tease me. Not a day goes by when these two don't make fun of me. Back in high school Ashton was the one who made fun of me for almost returning him the dog he gave to me because the dog peed on my bed. Agree with me or not it is a little gross after all.

"Baby stop it" Briana says defending me. I love you Briana.

"Thank you" I say to her and she buries her face in Isaac's neck, grinning at me.

"Guys I have to pull my car backwards but I can't see anything so, separate a little" Logan seems to notice it and says this, making me laugh so hard.

"Dude what the hell" Isaac says but then Briana grabs his face and gives him a little kiss. I suddenly look somewhere else since I was caught completely off guard by her immediate affection, probably just wanting to annoy Logan more.

She has this motto in life that if people get annoyed by you or hate you then give them a good reason although Logan and Briana have a kind of brother sister relationship, they're really overprotective for each other and fight like dogs and cats.

"Teenagers these days" Logan says. I swear to god sometimes he talks like an old wise man.

My phone rings and Dylan's name pops on the screen. I gently swipe to answer it.

"Hey Tess" he says and I can picture him smiling.

"Hi" I say and Briana says 'ooh' from the back seat.

"Have you guys reached?" He asks.

"Not yet." I tell him, looking outside.

He hums slowly and a for a second silence descends over but then I hear a girl's voice from behind shout Dylan.
